1. Up for sale is my Eden 210xlt.

I've owned it since new, which was about 4 years ago. Since it is a fairly recent model, it has the speakon and jack connections.....no banana plugs! :)

Also it has an adjustable, very high quality tweeter.

Here's what eden have to say about it.....

    'EDEN D210XLT
A favorite with professionals, we consider this to be the best 210 enclosure available. Featuring our exclusive in-house, hand-made EC-1060XL Cast Frame woofers and an adjustable E-2700 Cast Bell tweeter. This little system has more deep bass than many other 4 x 10 designs. Its tight, deep, focused sound lets the true character of your instrument shine through.'

It is in great condition, used, but not at all ragged.

It has a 30 year anniversary sticker, although as far as I can tell it's the same as non-anniversary models. I have the manual for it too.

I'm selling as I no longer have a car.

This cab is honestly brilliant, I've never heard a 2x10 this good.

    £300

I would also consider trades for a 15" or 4x10 cabs

  2. thanks, yeah I just spoke to EBS who said they're about 39lbs, and will correct they're website asap.

Basically, I can see myself doing the odd trip on the tube with a cab, and I know this will be a mission with anything, but I at least want something do-able, I think these may just be a tad heavy...even though they're pretty light!
    I'll have a think :)

  3. Hello,

    I'm selling my GK MB150S.

As I'm sure most of you know, these have been setting the industry standard of small and lightweight combos for years.

They are incredibly portable at 11kg, with a 12" driver that just fits into it's impressively small cab.

It will pump out 100w on it's own...or 150w with the use of an extension cab. It's very loud for it's size, but when I have been required to use it for larger spaces (like big marquees at wedding gigs), I've attached another cab to fill the room.

It also sounds great with double bass, I've seen soo many upright players using these over the years.

    Made in USA

Anyway, if your after one of these, then I'm sure you know how good they are.

I'll put some photos up tomorrow.....mine shows signs of use, but it's purely cosmetic, and it all still functions perfectly :)

I'm after [s]£400 [/s]......[s]£350[/s].....£300, the RRP is over £700, but they normally go for about 550 new.

I'm also after an Aguilar Tone Hammer head, so if anyone knows of one for sale, please let me know.

I'm only selling mine as I'm streamlining my set-up by selling my larger rig and small combo, to hopefully get something that sits in the middle.

    Thanks :)
    Harry

  4.
The MU is such a great resource for sample contracts, teaching and session rates etc - Is my first port of call for most musicy enquiries. So +1 for this!
Yeah it seems a wise port of call,
I suppose I better get an MU membership then!...(although It would help If I had £100 lying around to join!)

  5.
You could check out MU rates but you can offer 3 hours for £X or £150 a day for starters.

You need to know who your market may be. If these enquiries are from the same studio, have a quiet word with the engr as per the standard rates.

If the gig is very sorted, it depends on what load they expect to get through and what is a day in terms of hours.
The starts are normally late...ie from 11 onwards and you don't start recording bass until into the afternoon...That could be a long day as you'll be into the evening after a few tracks.

Talk to the local studio engr who is enquiring, about what is what. One of the arbiters of how long a session is, is how long the engr can handle as he is working from start to finish.

I'd say for local demo jobs £150 for 8 hrs...just to get you started. Your market might only be able to pay £50 so make that 3hrs=£50.

You have to know who can and will pay what.
A lot of sessions are self financed. If it is for a production company, they may be more realistic with better rates.
good reply. thanks!

  6. I've recently started getting enquirys on my rates for recording session.

    Is there a standard rate?

Obviously its often going to vary on the profile of the recording, and the stature of the player.

I'm semi pro, looking to quit my part time job and go pro by the end of the year, I'm plenty experienced at recording in good studios, so it'll be a proper job.

Do people generally charge per track or per hour/day, or both?

Any idea of what other people do would be great!

    Cheers,
    Harry

  7.
Bump for a fantastic bass and a great seller.

Very versatile bass. The video is a bridge-y solo tone, but I've heard Harry get a THICK dub tone out of this bass as well.
Cheers Dylan, have fun with ershads tunes today!

Yeah follow the myspace links on the first ad, if anyone wants to here some tracks with different tones.
