1. Hello I'm selling my 1972/3 precision.

£1400 ONO

It's a beautiful bass but it's had a few mods in it's time, hence the price. The neck and body and hardware are still original, and since owning it i've upgraded any non-original parts to be of good quality.

I bought it a few years ago, and I could see that first off it's had a refinish, and at one stage it's had two Jazz pickups fitted, both near the bridge. The cavities have been filled back in, but in the right light you can just see the outline of where they were through the refinish. It's also had a thumb rest fitted to near the bridge, i've removed this, but you will notice the 2 screw extra holes in the photos.

The neck and fretboard are in great shape, apart from one scratch on the back of the neck. The fretboard edges are nicely rounded so it's very comfortable.
I replaced the pickguard and pickups to my liking as they were non original, and had the nut reshaped and a general set up by The Gallery.

Original:
Neck,
Body,
Ashtray bridge/pickup covers,
Machine heads,
Bridge and saddles,
Neck plate,

Non Original:
Pick guard (Montreax Real Celluloid 62 PB Pickguard Relic)
Pickups (Bareknuckle '58) (or Aguilar 4p60 if you prefer)
CTS pots

To be honest I'm really not sure on what the pricing should be for this. I hope i've been fair with my sale price. - but any feed back on the pricing please send me a PM rather than posting in the comments, and I will be more than happy take into account peoples advice.

I can also offer it with Aguilar 4p 60 pickups instead for the same price. They are perhaps slightly more vintage correct, although personally really like the extra low end you get with the Bareknuckles.

Hiscox case included.

Lastly please feel free to come and try it, it plays silky smooth 1f642.png

2. All PM's replied too!

there's a few people asking about shipping. I'm more than happy to ship, so if you'd like a quote PM me your address and I can get a quote from UPS.

thanks for the trade offers, some lovely basses, but nothing that's quite what I'm after.

There should not be any taxes for shipping anything from UK to Sweden. Both are (yet...) EU territory.

As for the shipping, I would count on some 40-70 pounds, if it was UK-Spain. I don't think it should be much different from UK to Sweden.

Great bass at extremely good price, by the way.
--- and thanks for the info cascanicoff!

Does it have the original Sadowsky case and do you have an accurate weight?
Hello! It doesn't have original case, but I can include a gig bag at this price.

I think it's a bit over 9lbs if I remember correctly, but will find some accurate scales to check for you.

4. Hello basschatters! for sale is my Sadowsky RV4 bass.
It was bought in 2010, so it has the current spec including the VTC knob (vintage/passive tone control). Plus the usual onboard Sadowsky preamp/EQ.
It sounds awesome...!

I've owned two of these metros, the first was stolen, so I bought this one, - both great basses.
As expected of Sadowsky the build quality is exceptional. Everything does exactly what it should do, with pin-point accuracy from machine heads, fretwork, to volume control, bridge saddles, trusrod adjustment...you name it.
Also included with this sale is a creamy-mint coloured official Sadowsky scratch plate that originally came as stock on my MV4. So you can switch things up if you want. I will include a gig bag too.
Let me know if you have any questions, and feel free to come round and try it!

I had it for sale for £1350 on facebook, but given the speed of the market at the minute, I've put it at £1250 here. I'm also open to trades as well, particularly for a Mustang, or a 5 string sadowsky, lakland, fender etc..let me know what you got.

Thanks, Harry

5. I agree with many people above that I'd favour most ampeg cabs and amps over ashdown.

I can't see why ashdowns are so popular. I'm not just talking about not being able to do nice clean sounds, I love rock sounds, and love the drive and roughness from oranges and ampegs, but I can't see ashdown's niche. they often sound muddy and flappy and boomy. Apart from the MAG series, which have always been very good for the price.

This is only my experience so far. Having said this I'll probably find myself proved wrong next time i use one!
