  1. Hi, For sale is my 1978 Fender jazz bass , Nordstrand NJ4 pickups , Noll 2 on board preamp. comes with hardcase

    sorry not looking for trades

just been set up by Steve ,Manchesterguitartech, and I can honestly say its one of the best necks Ive ever played. The pickups and Noll2 preamp were fitted by Steve and he also re laquered the body

soundwise its the same bass as this except for the rosewood neck

A beautiful, beautiful bass! :gas: But 14lbs?! Crikey....

Still - any interest in trades? I have a lovely CIJ Marcus Miller Jazz (I see from your sig that you like Jazz basses!).

Yes, love Jazz basses......got too many though thats the problem..., so selling this and a custom jazz with 75 Fender neck , sadowsky pups and pre amp that I got from James of the forum ( posting that tomorrow )

14 lbs is heavy but its a well balanced guitar and with a comfort strap its not too bad.

The CIJ Marcus Miller Jazz is a lovely Bass but not looking for trades Thanks

Here is another video clip that might be of help. It is basic L/H technique, and concentrates on fingering. You are right IMO to concentrate first on getting a good clear note. The muting technique can come later.
