  1. Markbass 115p Traveller Bass Cab - 1x15 - With RoqSolid Cover - For Sale OR Trade for Markbass New Yorker 112 Cab

This is simply a great 1x15 Cab. It's light in weight. And decidedly heavy in sound.

The cab resides in a rehearsal studio storage unit in North London (Kentish Town) and collection would be ideal. That said, I am up for a 'liaison' if someone wants to meet me at a motorway services within a reasonable distance.

    (what IS a reasonable distance?)

(what IS the meaning of life?)

For Sale OR Trade for Markbass New Yorker 112 Cab

This cab has barely been used.

And, yes, it's the Italian-made version which means that it's 'that' much better than the new ones.

(actually, I've heard the Indonesian-made equivalent and the sound quality seems identical to my ears)

    (your ears may vary)

    Price Drop: £235

  2. Markbass 102HF Bass Cab (2x10 Standard Size)

For sale is my 2x10 Standard MarkBass Cab w/Roq Solid Cover and moderate live use. It's working perfectly. Sounds great. And projects your bass's tone beautifully.

This is an Indonesian-made model and the quality of the unit is mind-blowingly good.

The cab AND myself are based in East London.

    EDIT: Now available for £200

  3. RIB13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your name deserves each and every one of those exclamation marks above.

Words cannot do justice to describe just how much I enjoy your YouTube channel. Your reviews, humour and 'tales from the gigging world' are unique, insightful and refreshingly captivating. You also made me want a Fender Performer Series Bass thanks to this review - and I don't even need a Meat & Potatoes Bass.

I am no Derek Lavington but a big UK fan of yours nonetheless.

    Keep doing what you're doing.

    Much love from London,

    Andy

Cool, thanks for the response. I'm "stoked" to get this BT Profile bass! I sold my backup bass and am selling an electric to finance it. I wasn't using either very much (the bass was an Epiphone EB-1 [long scale] and it was too neck heavy to play, and sounded mediocre).

My main bass is a mid '70s Ibanez Challenger - bassically a P-bass with a Jazz neck - and it plays and sounds fabulous, though it could use intonating...

Congrats on your order. You will not be disappointed. You'll likely find that your Challenger gets relegated to 'back-up' status. Please let us know when your BT arrives in the USA.

  5. I would like to, ideally, trade my Blackstar Unity 700H head (featuring the optional 'extra' FS12 Footswitch) with your Orange 'Little Bass Thing' or Orange OB1 head.

The Blackstar is a veritable Swiss Army Knife of great bass sounds. It's a hefty sounding rig that's punchy and versatile in equal measure.

The reviews and YouTube clips on the unit speak for themselves. Oodles of headroom and surprisingly useful effects (Compressor/Octaver/Chorus) make this a one-stop solution for any sound.

Inherently, I am more of 'an Orange' man (other colours are available) and looking for a trade. Alternatively, I am happy to sell the head.

Both the Blackstar Unity 700H (and myself) reside in East London near Tower Bridge. Happy to meet within a reasonable distance (define 'reasonable') should a trade be an option.

Neck dive update, what neck dive?? 😀

Dunlop straplock on the horn made a bit of difference plus the lightweight tuners

This looks fab. Great work. Ergonomic Reverse Engineering for the win. Have you kept the original pickup? How are you finding the bass as a whole post-mods?

  8. I had the pleasure of meeting Rhino at the Bass Centre many years ago. He was incredibly affable and clearly loved to rocking over all over the world with Quo.

As he seemed to be a bit of a gear geek (as most of us in this parish are), I reckon the gear shifting may sadly have something to do with.....
