  1. I've always loved the octave in the line 6 pedals, so I sure you could pick up a line 6 m5 second hand for that sort of money and it gives you loads of other effects as well. If you after a standalone octave though I did like the ebs one alot but it depends what sort of octave sound you want. An oc2 style octave is for me a bit more 'synthy' and wasnt my thing, so I stuck with the more 'natural' sounding ones.

  2. Hi

I've had a fal phase 50-4 for a while but never really thought much of it until I plugged it into my barefaced compact and I was shocked that I managed to get a really decent sound out of it ( well to my ears anyway) but I was wondering if anyone knew if it would work down to 4 ohms? There is no ohm rating on the amp so I'm not really sure what it can and can't do. I'm pretty sure it will work fine with a 4 ohm cab but if any one has any first hand experience and or info on the amp that would great. I was also looking at a fal super 100 as a possible 'upgrade' does anyone know if that too will work at 4 ohms?

  3. hi guys

after knowing the guitarist in our band for over 4 years it has taken him all this time to tell me that has 'this old matsumoku bass' just sat around his house. so i told him to bring it over and its a nice looking p bass old and battered and after setting it up and a bit of tlc it actually plays and sounds really nice! I think I'm starting to fall for it a bit but anyway i can't really get any info on what it is or the age ,the only thing i have to go off is the neck plate which says: Matsumoku D771323 made in Japan on the back, there is no branding on it or anything. does anyone have any ideas about the age or maybe what it actually is? ill try and get some pictures up at some point but honestly is like any other p bass. lawsuit model perhaps?

  4. Hi

I'm just clearing out some old pedals that i don't really use any more, all are in pretty good shape maybe a few little dings here and there but nothing major. They are all in full working order.

    for sale i have:

a wounded paw blender V3, has three parallel loops that can all be blended with the clean signal- £100

    a napalm bypass looper-£25

an Ernie ball volume pedal JR it the 25k version that works great as an expression pedal on the line 6 m series - £60

Boss oc2 just a standard taiwan model- £sold

and finally a custom cog preamp di that has a built-in cab sim of sorts and a wide range of eq- £witdrawn

postage would be an extra £5 or pick is welcome from in and around Birmingham, i work not far from Coventry too.

i wouldn't mind any sort of trades but cash is best as im after a line 6 hx effects

  5. Hi

for sale, I have my Genz Benz Shuttlemax 12.2 that has served me well and never missed a beat! a really great amp that is unbelievably flexible with the multiple eq sections and a vast amount of power!

i have the original footswitch and the optional rack ears.

postage is available roughly an extra £10

its lived in a 2u rack case most of its life. I'm only selling because i don't really use an amp much on stage anymore and i have a smaller amp that will suffice.

trades are very welcome with cash adjustments either way if its something I'm really after but to give you an idea any amps (guitar or bass), pedals, basses, studio gear(mics, preamps, comps etc), synths and more specifically i'm after a Focusrite Clarett 8prex if any ones got one they want to part ex?

feel free to get in touch for any further info

  6. I have a mantic vitriol and I love it but it quite a scooped sound similar to the Darkglass stuff, so I don't think it will quite work in this application but I also have a rat king (cat king) and I think that could work quite nicely. obviously, you don't need the cat king unless you want the fancy stuff i should think the smaller one will work well. then you can just work and order to see what sounds better going into which.
