1. Right, well in a continuation of my spring clear-out of all bass stuff thats not being used, here we have a Peavey T-Max amp head.
I originally had a T-Max until a couple of years ago but sold it, then missed it like crazy so bought another. This one has hardly been used by me so its time for a new loving home for the beast. :)

Everyone knows how good these amps are, both solid state and valve preamps which can be selected independantly or blended together, its 350w into 4ohms and 500w into 2ohms, plently loud enough for nearly any pub/club gig.
Its got a 7 band EQ which you can switch on or off, high and low shelving, plus a whole host of other Peavey goodies.

    Here's the manwell to read for yourself;

    ...and heres the reviews on harmony Central, nearly all give it 9's and 10's;

Overall its in great condition, its been racked all of its life and besides a couple of small scratches its visually in great condition. The only two things to mention is that the post gain knob has been replaced with something similar but not the same, and two of the slider knobs on the EQ have gone astray. Its still fully functional and you can still adjust them fine, its just a case of either tracking down some new knobs or living with it!

here's the pictures of the beasty....

Because of the missing sliders i'm after a sensible £160 for it, collected from myself in North London. But I also travel to cambridge and East Anglia quite often, so delivery to these areas may be possible. (I'm actually in Cambridge this week from Thursday to Sunday, but be quick if you're interested!)
This really is a great amp for the money, and everyone knows how tank-proof Peavey gear is. May possibly be tempted into bass-trades for this, but I could do with the money more!

    Cheers Y'all....

  2. Bump for pics.... I've tried to highlight the cases worst parts in the last two pictures, but its in overall really good condition as the pictures show....

The iPod classic is in there to show you scale, and as you can see the fabric and foam are both in fantastic condition, just a little black paint from the back hinges has flaked off but its still perfectly good.

I'm also going to be in Cambridge and east Anglia from Thursday to Sunday, so delivery to around these parts is a possibility. :)

  3. Had this happen quite a few times at weddings, its easy to say "I'm sorry mate but this gear is only insured if I'm using it, if its goes belly up then its your pocket."

But usually I'm very unprofessional about it and when they jokingly get ready to grab it and say "can I have a go mate?" I just put on serious angry face and say "No, you can't."

  4. For a beginner or even an old hand, the Fender B-Dec is awesome, everything you could need in a practice amp and more.
Drum machine, phrase sampler and looper, virtual band backing tracks and exercises, theory exercises and scales, arpeggios etc....

Really can't think of anything better to learn with.

  5. Righty-ho, what we 'ave 'ere is a Diago Tourman pedal board, its in really good condition with no tears or cracks or anything nasty.
There's some slight tarnishing on the metal clasps/hinges but these obviously don't affect its performance at all. I also had to apply some glue to the material on one of the front corners where the material was coming away, but thats pretty inconspicuous.
It has hole-bits in the clasps should you wish you put small padlocks in there to keep it locked, and as I'm sure everyones aware, these are fantastic pedal boards.

Heres the overall sizing and overview of it; http://www.diago.co.uk/pedal-boards/pedal-...s/overview.html

Here's a couple of quick video whatsits; http://www.diago.co.uk/pedal-boards/pedal-boards/videos.html

Here's some crazy pictures of Diago 'boards; http://www.diago.co.uk/pedal-boards/pedal-...ds/gallery.html

    And here's a review of them; http://www.diago.co.uk/pedal-boards/pedal-...ds/reviews.html

The RRP for these from Diago is £150 new (plus whatever P+P you'd have to pay) but you can get them on the 'bay for £130 (plus the P+P)
This is up for grabs at £85, as I said its in real good condition and pictures of it will follow in the next day or two (camera needs new batteries!) Feel free to PM me any offers you might have for it, but please keep it to PM's or you know you'll have to go stand on the BC naughty step.
Collection from myself in North London would be best, but I do travel to cambridge and East Anglia quite a bit so drop-off could be possible. I'm also happy to post it and will get a price quote in the next day or so.
Also up for trades, the only reason I'm getting rid of this is because it's just too damn big for my pedal collection so ideally I'd like to trade it for something smallers than this Tourman and slightly larger than the Showman, but I reckon this is gonna prove impossible and I'm gonna end up building myself a new pedalboard in the future. So hit me up with potential trades, might be swayed with a loud cab or even a multi-FX, try me and see what tickles my fancy!

    Cheers Y'all... :)

  6. I bought a couple of CDs from Rob and they arrived quicker than you can say "bugger that was quick" and they were great, top banana.
He then let me come round his gorgeous house (V.Jealous) and relieve him of a bunch of magazines whilst pleasantly shooting the breeze with him.

Lovely guy, many thanks. (The only problem is now that I've been told I have to sell all my bass gear and buy an upright.)

  7. My old bands drummer was the Motorhead crew chief for them for 20-odd years and he lived with Lem for a bit, he's told me loads of great road stories, bloody great.
He even sat in with them for a while and Lem wanted him to join, but then Filthy came back and the rest is history.

  8.
Mansons in Exeter is a great shop, not soley Bass sales but do stock a decent selection of gear.

On price they didn't quite match the cheapest price I found for my 5 string jazz man but came pretty close so went with them because of there sevice was very good. Talk to Adrian if he's there, he is a very acomplished bass player and author of bass books. He certainly know his stuff.
Ralph at Mansons is the man, lovely guy and all round top bloke. :)

  9. Oooohh... Its down to £110 now and I'm starting to get tempted if the electrics could be sorted out on the cheap....

    http://www.gumtree.com/london/39/53705439.html

So is this worth a punt fellas? Should I take the plunge or wait another week or so and see if he drops the price by another £20?

  10. I have the Lomenzo and the Ibanez Phathead, and they're both great pedals.
If you can find a PD7 for less than £40 then I'd say go for it. I'm possibly selling mine so if you do decide thats what you want then hit me up. Check the Ibanez demo's on their website, they're pretty good.
Also well worth considering is the Boss Metal Zone, a guitarists pedal but it has onboard EQ so you can tweak as much as you like without losing the bottom.

I also have the Digitech bass driver which has a really sensitive blend setting which also works a treat. They also have great demos on their website.
