1. Looking for £300 or a reasonable offer - Luthite body (light weight) - Rock-maple neck - Ebanol fingerboard - Single, slim Bartolini passive humbucker wired to an active 9-volt circuit - 3-band EQ - "slap" contour switch with adjustable bass and midrange boost (accessed from the rear) Brand new Ernie Ball (45-130) strings just put on it last week and barely played since. I will also throw in some brand new Rotosound Nylon Flatwound strings (65-135) One of the dial covers has come off. I cant remember exactly where I put it in my flat, but if I find it, I will put it back on. Without the dial cover the dial itself still works absolutely fine. Theres also a missing screw in the back plate, but again, if I find a suitable replacement then I'll put it back. Bass plays perfectly and sounds great (just could do with a bit of a clean), selling as I have recently upgraded. Collection from the Pantiles area of Tunbridge Wells or I may be able to deliver it to you within a suitable distance. If I need to send by courier then a delivery charge will be added.
2. I'm doing something very similar, but I don't use a pedal to control effects, I tend to have the effects automated. There's some demo videos in this thread: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/223148-live-dubstep-bass-guitar-wobble-using-ableton-live-9/
3. If anyone is interested, we have just released a new digital EP. Its available on a pay-what-you-want system, which includes £0.00 You can get it here: http://bitnormalrecords.bandcamp.com/album/technical-difficulties
4. HI guys, Thanks for the kind words. As people have already mentioned, Shep is indeed mastering and releasing the digital version of our upcoming EP (December 1st). I will certainly head over to the recording section and give what ever input I can there (I need to get more involved with the forums generally really). I've got a few tutorials for various wobbly noises on my YouTube too. To answer xgsjx's question: I now have very little problems with latency since upgrading my hardware. I used to use effects pedals as I had major latency issues on my PC, but I've upgraded to 12gb ram and although there is a minor bit of latency, its fine for recording. I will soon be upgrading my processor which should completely fix any issues. Live I use a Mac Book Air which has no latency problems what so ever. I have a external soundcard which has enough inputs for bass, guitar, tri-bass (midi), mics and audio out and the Mac Book handles it all fine. The video I posted is all about the bass effects, but we also have some crazy guitar effects coming on the new EP too. Both of us have got rid of all our pedals in favour for using Ableton. I have spent the last 5 years collecting pedals for the live wubs, but Ableton has it all in one little package, plus having the ability to automate effect changes opens up a whole new word of fun. 5. I posted on here a couple of years ago about how I make live dubstep style bass wobbles using a collection of effects pedals, well now I have sold them all in favour of using the effects bundled inside Ableton Live 9 and I thought it may interest some people to know how I do it. Here is the latest track from my soon to be released EP, featuring live bass guitar (among other instruments): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fB5CkqufwZU And here is a tutorial video explaining how I make these sounds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZSnPGTFMGE Although I use this style for dubstep, you can easily adapt it for DnB or Jungle... or any kind of dance music really. Happy Wubbing! Cj Code: Marla www.codemarla.com
6. I've managed to get some tasty wobbles out of the Korg AX3000B. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blbXQWn0x9g
