That is a beautiful bass and way too cheap (I know cos I own one) :-P

Hi all. Whilst I'm well acquainted to the use of compression at a desk when mixing, I've never really got on with it on my bass. I know a lot of players use it regularly and apparently to great benefit but I just can't get it sorted at all....In fact, I generally turn it off at my head, preferring to just avoid it. I do feel like I'm missing out though! Is it because I'm relying on my head to provide compression or should I use an external device? Maybe a good tutorial on the use of compression would help. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Ta

Sold?

I have a TRB5p, had it from birth in 1990. Don't sell it....you'll regret it! Best bass I ever owned, still use it as my main goto.

Selling my Warwick 4x10 WCA 410 4 ohm cab. Great wee cab with a big sound. Has treated me very well but it's time to move on some gear and make space in my man cave. It's been gigged a few times but is in great condition, no major bumps or bashes. Powered it with an Ampeg SVT7-Pro and it managed it happily. Had lots of compliments for the noise it made (not my playing sadly). I did remove the castors though as the crappy plastic holder for the screw to hold one of the castors in, stripped. I have 4 heavier duty castor here but never got around to fitting them. However buys this is welcome to them (assuming I can find them).
I paid £250 for this cab plus about £40 delivery some 18 moths ago or so. Would like £200 but I'm prepared to discuss an offer.
I would prefer that the buyer collects this but I am happy to meet somewhere if it makes life easy. All tryouts welcome. Please note that this is a 4 ohm cab so if you are looking to get a bigger noise from your head, this is a great option. That's the reason I bought it in the first place.
BASED GLASGOW AREA....collect or meet within reason. Tryouts welcome! -
I really don't believe i am about to part with this but it's time for it to move on (I need the space in my man cave).
Anyone who knows anything about these cabs knows what they are.....beasts! It's a brute! A wall of sound that just makes me grin from ear to ear....every time! I need say no more. Pics below and I'll try to post a video of it in action (live recording pretty much without any mucking about with the audio).
Usual wee nicks in the tolex but it's in good condition generally. It wouldn't be an SVT810 if it looked pristine!!
Glasgow area so collect or I can meet you within reason.

Think I'm going to have a look at the source audio pedal although the trim pots is a great idea.....why didn't I think of that...doh! I've only had the bass for 25 years, it should have dawned on me by now lol

Hi all!
Ok, when switching between an active bass to a passive bass (TRB5p to Fender JB), there's a considerable drop in volume. Now, getting to my amp on a crowded stage isn't always possible so it can be a bit of a pain. I did try one of the sansamp programmable DI boxes (VT bass) pedals but I never really got on that well with it and sold it eventually. I guess I'm not really looking for a pedal that will colour my sound, more give it a lift. Perhaps programmable EQ? Any thoughts?
I love this place -
OK, so just spoke to the very helpful Alex down at Barefaced. Short story....new Retro SIX10 ordered. Gets here in about two weeks. Excited am I? Oh yes.

Hey, I'm considering buying this cab and was really interested in how you are getting on with it a month on? Still happy?

Hi bud, know you're busy but can you give me a shout about the cab please? I have PM'd you my number. If I don't hear back from you soon I am going to have to look elsewhere I'm afraid. Trying my hardest but I might need to admit defeat soon.
All the best.
