It was the valve.. sent back to Korg/Hartke and had valve replacement.. I have read somewhere that by replacing this "standard" sovtek valve with an alternative it can enhance the quality of tone and also power output.. Any suggestions? Cheers...

well i think i have eliminated all the variables.. different leads, different basses and the problem still lies... i have done some research and there can be an issue with overloading the valve. i`m going to talk to the place i purchased the lh500 and get them to look at that rather than the cab.. it may be that rather than the cab..

I mean one cab.. i can't say if it's just 1 speaker inside that cab as the overall sound on playing the A string isn't ringing true if you understand...?

Just purchased hartke lh500 head and 2 ashdown 410 cabs.. with 1 of the speakers there seems to be what i can only describe as an "off frequency" sound rather than a true note.. Anyone had this issue or know what this is? I am dropped down slightly on the tuning.. Cheers for any advice.
