1. Now sold, lasted all of a few seconds on eBay! Thanks for the interest everybody! Richey
2. Just to let y'all know she's going on eBay this evening, photos available on there, Basschat and iPad don't mix evidently... Search title; Aria Pro II Japan 80s Vintage... Shout if you have trouble finding it, I'll try to add a link later. Richey
3. I'll upload some pics ASAP, but it's in pretty damn good condition with just a couple of small chips and scratches to the base/rear. Frets are perfect and very very shiny, brand new strings, very clean neck, lovely to play....my van died this morning, need a new cambelt...hence sale. It's the same as the sunburst model in this link; http://www.matsumoku.org/models/ariaproii/bass/csb/csb.html I can ship if necessary for £20 but will have to remove the neck as there is no hardcase available. PayPal payment required. Otherwise it's in Milton Keynes for viewings/cash on collection. Send me a personal message if you're interested! Thanks for listening, Richey
4. Selling my favourite bass... I just don't play bass enough to warrant this beast, and when I do I tend to use a short scale cheapo 60s teisco because my fingers are pussies.... This bass kicks ass! It's black with red binding in a certain style....I don't think I can mention the type for legal reasons... A few marks here and there in the finish but otherwise fantastic condition with an excellent fast/low action. Sturdy would be an understatement here... I'm open to offers, but like I said this is my favourite bass so please bear that in mind! I'm only selling so I can afford a refinish on another bass, cutting right back with basses and guitars, they gotta start paying the rent sadly... I'll try to upload some photos later, otherwise send me your email address and I'll forward them directly. Thanks for listening, Richey
5.
These aren't Ric copies. I had a burst RB924 (which got stolen by the support band on tour in 1994!) which I loved. i bought it because it looked like a Ric but they are certainly in the Ibanez Musician category. http://muzbass.ru/im...zrb924-2-1s.jpg My brother had a black RB760 with red racing stripe around the edge. Nice bass!
That sunburst is gorgeous! Mines the black RB760 with red detail... Richey
6. Chuck me your email address and ll forward some photos Anybody know why my two other forum posts have been removed? Funny place this... Richey
7.
I think Alan is trying to sell HIS bass in this post
My apologies, not intending to disinterest anybody here, mines in need of refurbishment anyway, just thought I'd mention it... Richey
8. The headstock is Ibanez shape, does that still piss off the Ricky guys?! Jeez..... Richey
9.
Anything like this? The Tune Bass Maniac was something of a classic instrument and spawned a whole host of copies and instruments taking their cue from it's design in the late 80's/early 90's. They were high quality instruments but they nor the their copies seem to be particularly fashionable right now. AFAIR there was some kind of internal dispute and two companies ended up making instruments under the Tune brand name. I've no idea what the quality is like of the newer instruments, or indeed if other companies have used the same name, but if it's made in Japan it's likely to be worth your while getting it into a usable condition. Edit: I've just realised you've said you could only find one page that had a bass that looked like yours, which I guess means it's unlikely that yyou'rs is the Bass Maniac!
Pretty much exactly like that one...worth sorting then? Where the 'Bass Maniac' lettering would have been there is a slightly deeper sanded area, the whole thing has been poorly sanded back ready for a spray job prior to me acquiring it in bits. Having troubles getting photos uploaded from my iPad I'll get some up soon... Richey
10. Selling my favourite bass I just don't play bass enough to warrant this beast, and when I do I tend to use a short scale cheapo 60s teisco because my fingers are pussies.... This bass kicks ass! It's black with red binding in a definite Rickenbacker style.
11. I picked up a project that might be a bit too much for me so trying to find some info before deciding whether to sell her on... It's a Jap Tune bass, I can literally only find one page with anything similar on the Internet so I'm kinda ignoring it as there is nothing else to compare against...this particular page has them rated very well indeed and priced at around $1400...is this right? It has some fancy electrickery, weighs nearly nothing (the neck in particular) and is currently sat in bits, part-sanded, ready for a refinish and re-assembly. I need tuners which could prove an interesting search as the headstock is ridiculously slim, otherwise it's all there. I'll try to upload a few photos later. Any info would be hugely appreciated! Thanks for listening, Richey
12. Selling a project Framus star bass, the one everybody wants but in poor condition needing a full rebuild. I've been hoping to have the work done for a while now but too strapped for cash so she's gotta go, anybody interested before I try eBay? I'm open to offers... Richey
13. I have one of these for sale, needs a full refurb...only £300 though...message me with your email for photos Richey
14. Hi there, Got a Jap 'Tune' electric bass I'm working on to bring back to life, shes been refinished at some point in nasty Matt black, although originally would have been a purple sparkle finish. Any idea what it is I've got? I'll add photos ASAP... Richey.
15. Coffee, orange AND mint choc chip, a fair trade for your JV surely..... So, next basses up for grabs are my Hondo precision in sunburst and my Ibanez Roadstar in black with red trim and a very 80s Rickenbacker feel........sound interesting to anyone? No idea on prices again, but I'll get them listed asap. Richey
16. Thanks everyone! Luke, I've got some Doritos and a box of half eaten thorntons chocolates left over from Christmas.......fancy a deal?
17. Update...... My lovely CMi has now sold, many thanks to all of you who contacted me expressing your interest. Thanks also to Basschat for being there in the first place, why isn't there a similar forum space for guitarists in the UK?!? Being as I evidently rubbed a few people up the wrong way with my original advert I just thought I'd ask what best to do in order to advertise another bass I have for sale, as again I have no idea what price to ask for it........and really don't want to have to explain myself again in future. In my original advert I didn't state a price, I was then informed by moderators that I would need to include one so i stated to 'start the haggling at £xxx'...but what should i really do in this scenario if I have no real idea of the guitars value? I understand that auctions are not permitted (although this isn't stated in the terms of selling...) and am happy not to attempt to run anything of the sort, but what is the most acceptable way to seek offers otherwise? I can't help but feel a little alienated purely for attempting to ensure I was getting a fair price, the proposed value of which I had stated, perhaps there are a few people out there who would have liked me to offer my items at a giveaway price and make money out of my ignorance......? Obviously I want to achieve as much cash from the sale as possible, if cash flow wasn't an issue then I wouldn't be selling! Any advice will be gladly received! Thanks for listening, Richey
18. Hello again everyone, seems I've started a bit of a feisty thread.......believe me this wasn't the intention! Firstly, despite the recommendation to avoid the subject I am very much desperate to sell this beautiful bass, I recently lost my job and have to face facts that any guitars/basses/gear in general which I don't use would be much better put to good use by someone else, and in doing so I can make sure I have a roof over my head for the winter. I had no intention of starting in affect any sort of auction. I only posted that I had three offers for the same cash amount as I thought that if there were another offer it would be the fairest way of choosing who to sell to. As it turns out, two of those offers would require a courier service so I have decided to offer to the only person who offered to come and collect in person. I am not available (being Xmas week) until the 29th and the current prospective buyer is also unavailable until early January, we have both agreed happily that I should continue to advertise the bass in the meanwhile and that I would be a fool to accept a lesser figure for the bass if it were offered...........if this is agreeable by the both of us then why is there any issue here? If you're interested in buying give me a shout, if you're not then surely it doesn't affect you? As stated before there were no intentions to annoy anyone or to run an auction. I had chosen to advertise on this site because it has been a great source of knowledge over the years and also because with such a rare and almost cult-followed item I figured best to make sure that it would go to somebody who knows their stuff........ie that it would hopefully go to a good home. Guys lets not fight, it's Christmas! Please remember also that I originally stated I was after £400......I'd still like that figure, so if there's an offer for that amount it'll sell. Just to conclude, I am genuinely sorry for any offence caused, none was intended in the slightest. Thanks for listening! Richey
19. Three offers of £350 in my inbox this morning.......anyone care to raise the bar? Or should I put the names in a hat and choose one at random? I've contacted all three to be as fair as possible, and also to mention that I might be interested in a trade or part exchange against any interesting old guitars (sorry, not looking for any more basses...) or amps, so gimme a shout if that sounds tempting! Richey
20. No pickup cover I'm afraid. Has anyone got any links to similar models? Richey

The lighter, more turquoise photos are truer to the real colour, difficult to get it to come out with a flash! Richey
