We are Simon (54): vocals/lead guitar, and Phil (48) rhythm guitar putting together a very laid-back band for jamming around own material and covers to develop our own sound. The intention is just to have fun and get a break from the daily grind - leave our troubles at the door and lose ourselves in music for a few hours. Whether you've done 100s of gigs or have never played in a band before, it doesn't matter so long as you've got enough ability to improvise or work things out as you go along and can not only play but listen as well. Gigging is not the objective, nor much of a priority, at least until we are proud enough of our sound to think there may be a really appreciative audience for it. We meet weekly at a studio in Stonehouse, Plymouth. You will need your own gear, transport, phone and preferably email/Internet access. If you are reliable but relaxed, enjoy a good laugh and can make it to practices Thursday evenings between 6:30 and 9:30pm (this may be flexible), come along for a jam. Creative, laid back, humorous, reliable, experienced bass player - electric, acoustic or upright (this last would be particularly welcome) - probably 'mature' (sad old git!), wanted to complete similar blues trio. For the pleasure of it only - looking to eventually play small venues with a view to finding a residency where the ales and the ambience are excellent.
