1. Hmm, having read of exactly the same thing on another forum, I'm starting to wonder if sending the wrong pedal is a sales tactic from Yoosmart. They sent me an octave distortion pedal instead of a delay, but they've offered me the delay for $35 in addition if I CBA sending back the other one. Quite tempted to do it anyway - I'm no expert but the compressor and distortion sound pretty good to me - amazing for the price.

Will post some more detailed thoughts later.

A pedal that's designed to be sold to the semi pro, pub gigging and presumably beer drinking (in said pubs) musician should be fit for purpose. In my book that includes being water/beer proof. If it's not then the design criteria is wrong.
Seriously? Can you find one effects pedal that claims to be waterproof?

  3. Hello everyone,

I've been playing bass for a few years, but just recently decided to try and take it a bit more seriously. I play in a Hip-Hop/Funk/Rock band - http://www.facebook....pp_178091127385 - based in Lancaster

Just bought a MiM Fender Active P Bass Special off here, and I'm using it as inspiration to play more - I want to try and learn properly, as I've never had lessons or really spent any time learning theory/technique.

I'm also buying some FX off here to experiment with different sounds and try and get a killer tone :)

I'm going to stick my head above the parapet here and wait to get it shot down..I enjoyed it..thought both players were solid in what they did, good tone from both basses and it gave the Bassist(s) a chance to shine and come to the front instead of the guitarists..

    should I duck??

Admittedly I'm only listening on laptop speakers but the tone sounded horrible to me - is bass not supposed to actually have some bass in it?

Stuff like this just seems like pure musical masturbation to me. No thanks.

  5. Anyone have a link to a good guide to doing basic setup? I just bought a MiM Fender Active P Bass Special off here - very happy with it but it seems the setup needs some tweaking. Some of the higher frets don't work (not sure what the technical term is) and the string buzz is a bit more than I would like.

I am planning to put some Labella Flats on there anyway - but I read somewhere these strings have quite a high tension and the truss rod might need adjusting as a result? Just wondering if this is relatively simple or a local guitar shop job. I'm not a complete numpty but not a tech genius either.

    Thanks.
