  2. hey guys, so i have a ESP LTD F-105 It hasnt always had this problem but lately has had a really low output (6 months or so), its not the strings they have been changed, its not the battery that has also been changed, the low B has a really loud output but everything else seems to disappear, any advice?
  3. hey guys, im trying to find a nice low and dirty overdriven sound but still clear enough to keep the highs, any suggestions or examples i could use? i currently use a boss odb 3 and a sansamp BDDI, with a ashdown abm 500 thanks
  4. hey guys so i have the chance to buy a SVT 3 pro but it is a 1995 model i was wondering if this is a massive difference sound wise or just cosmetically
  5. Hey guys, I need a few opinions! so I currently own a Ashdown ABM 500RC which goes into a Ashdown 4x10, I also use a sansamp bass Driver DI, now I have the opportunity to buy a Ampeg SVT 3-PRO (1995). My question is should I sell my Ashdown in order to buy the Ampeg or keep the Ashdown? sadly both are not a option
  6. they are esp pickups so im not too sure if they are active or if it's just a active EQ
  7. Is turning a active bass into a passive bass, is this possible and does anyone have any idea how to do it? i use a esp ltd f-105 and the control isnt really needed and just drains battery power so ideas? low cost if possible
  8. with the sansamp i use it to get a high end drive with a low end bu the active eq on my bass isn't great so i use it to tweak tiny things, i tried the signal at the front of the chain and still got the same sound so could it be my EQ settings?
  9. hey guys, So basically i've got some problems with my bass which i don't know what's causing it. I play a 5 string ESP LTD F-105 active EQ and rotosound strings running through a Ashdown ABM500RC and have a sans amp running through the effects loop, my settings on the amp are basically flat with a few minor tweaks and the sans amp is; (going to do this a o'clock) Level: 9 o clock, blend is full, treble: 1 o'clock, bass: full, drive: 11 o'clock, presence: Full. My issue is im getting a lot of what i can only describe as a popping tone from my A, D and G string and my B and E are nice a bassy with a little bit of twang so how do i get rid of the popping sound? Thanks in advanced
  10. i guessed as much well time to rush around tomorrow thanks for the advice
  11. Hey guys, quick question I went to the shop to pick up a new A string (80 - 95) but the guy gave me a D (60 - 75) a 70 to be exact, now i don't have time to head back there so is it possible to use it a A string? i tune to drop A# but on a 5 string so i tune up. Thanks for the help
