Selling my MXR Sub Octave Bass Fuzz

A great octave and fuzz pedal that you can get some fairly unique sounds out of. However i no longer need a fuzz so i've gone for a different, space saving mxr octave pedal on my board. It's all in working order but has been on my gigging board so has the usual signs of use and has grip tape on the bottom. Comes with original box.

Based in Manchester, can ship for £5.

  2. Now £150 inc postage.

Selling my Aguilar Tone Hammer pedal, it's a great preamp di box but i don't use it anymore. It's all in working order but has been on my gigging board for some time so it's got the usual signs of use along with some grip tape on the bottom. Only thing to note is the washer on the output jack has fallen off somewhere along the way, as shown. Not really an issue and would be a very cheap/easy fix if necessary.

  3. Will take £200 collected.

Not too much new to say about these. Great amps and cabs.

Selling this for a friend who's had it in my rehearsal space for a while and no longer needs it.

It's well used as you can see but mechanically it's in good nick and sounds great. I'm always surprised at how loud these are even just with a 210 cab.

The fans, and all the amp functions octave, VU meter etc still work.

There's a couple of issues but they're all cheap easy fixes:

The bulb in the VU meter has gone and the preamp valve will need replacing too but isn't essential if you don't use the valve drive.

There are also a couple of knobs missing and the Bass EQ pot needs replacing.

Welcome to come and try before you buy. Based in Manchester, collection only.

  4. For sale is my Ashdown CTM 300

Bought on here a couple of years ago but i'm no longer doing the gig i mainly used it for and so it's just sat in a rehearsal room unused. It's an absolutely thunderous amp and when i plugged it in the other day i came very close to keeping it but i simply can't justify it at the moment.

I did some touring with it so i purchased a flightcase (included) for it. Can also include a spare valve.

It's got a couple of great features. The valve driven Di output and the easy to use valve bias-ing system are both incredibly useful in a live setting.

If you're looking for one of these you probably already know what they are but here's what Ashdown say:

More pics available on request and prospective buyers welcome to come and try it in Manchester (Northern quarter, city centre).

Obviously collection preferred but if you're seriously interested and can't make it here then we can look at couriers.

  5. Interesting about the Reddi. It does seem to get high praise, i'd not really heard of it before. I suppose the Avalon is slightly more versatile sound-wise and especially in terms of home studio recording. But then i'll be mostly using it live for at least the rest of this year.
It seems more research is in order.

  6. Anyone got any experience of using an Avalon U5 live?

I've used them in plenty of different studios but recently seen a few interviews and 'rig rundowns' where bass players use them as part of their live set up. It seems like an interesting idea. In my mind i'd be thinking of using it as a high end DI. This has come from having spent decent money on an amp set up for FOH engineers to then just take a direct DI bypassing the amp altogether. Thus only i enjoy the the sound that i've spent time and money crafting and the audience just get often a cheap DI box sound.

Would very much appreciate anyones experience or advice on this.

    Thanks,
    Harry
