I'll take the amp.
-
What's the weight like ?
-
Does it sound like a stingray in any way ? Apologies for the very basic question.
-
I have a 2 EQ StingRay classic, I play it though a GenzBenz amp and on into Barefaced cabs.
I has a huge fat warm sound and every string is right there in the mix (no drop offs in volume). It actually cuts through better than my Sadowsky jazz or Fender Ultra P bass which are very good in themselves.
I don't doubt the experiences stated here in this thread but I'm tending to agree with the post that says that the amp can make the difference.

I tried 5's as well but the B string just threw me continually.
Going back to 4 was like shaking hands with an old friend.

I'll buy these, £30 for the set, yes

Are you sure you want to list this in a bass guitar forum ?
Unlikely to sell

What's the weight please ?

Very striking alright,

Couldn't agree more to your "StingRay" statement.
I had one of these and I was gob smacked as to how close it came to a stingray. Hands down one of the best value basses on the market. GLWS

The pickup position is very stingray like, is the tone at all similar ?

Never mind ........ just saw your comment.
But if you change your mind give me a shout.

2 sets of strap locks and the set of strap buttons, how much ?
-
How much to post to Ireland, no need to box it, just put it in an envelope/jiffy bag.
-
Yeah, I'll buy this for the asking price

If I'm not mistaken, that bass has a quarter sawn maple neck.
Quarter sawn gives that speckled grain and it means that the grain is running from back to front through the neck. This is highly stable and highly desirable.

Sorry Pm'd now.

Very nice, the pre seems very versatile over the standard V, V, T in say a Fender.
The pick guard seems an exact match for the fret board colouring. Very nice indeed.

Lovely dark fretboard, it really suits the instrument. Is it ebony by any chance ?

Delighted with the amp, it's everything I wanted.
Fair play for packing it so well and for the solid communication right the way along.
A++++ seller.
