  1. Meant to say it's a Short Scale bass just to be clear. Think that means it's got a shorter neck or something 😆 I also put some new "Ernie Ball Regular Slinky Nickel Wound Short Scale Bass Strings - 50-105 Gauge" on PS. I see I joined Basschat in 2011, and definitely had bought this guitar by 2012 .... so it's been gathering dust at home for over 12 years 😳 Please help the poor thing find a loving new home !!
  2. For sale, my 2009 Gibson SG Bass which I purchased (from eBay) many years ago and never used (I didn't take to playing Bass so took up the drums instead!) Only now decided to stop using it as a beautiful lounge accessory and move it on to someone who can actually enjoy playing it! From what I can tell the previous owner used it with a strap and there are various marks and area where the paint has been rubbed off as per the pictures. It hasn't had any major damage from what I can see, and our band's bass player checked it recently at one of our rehearsals - it seems to play fine and the knobs all seemed to work and without unwanted noise/crackles etc. £795 and Collection in the West Byfleet area of Surrey - although I've been open with the imperfection marks here I would much prefer someone to inspect it and be totally happy. 10 min walk from West Byfleet station which has good links from London. Happy to discuss directly and I'll try and help as much as I can. Thanks for looking! 20240405_105739.mp4
  3. Many thanks..... its a Gibson SG .... I'l check out the Vox amp (would you suggest any particular type of headphones with that?) Cheers
  4. Hi all Just joined this site, thought I'd say hello Trying to fulfil a lifelong ambition of playing live - after many years of stringing a few chords together with guitar I recognised it wasn't going to happen for me so have just bought a Bass and will start lessons to see how I get on with that. I am borrowing a friend's 200W Marshall but it's just too big & heavy for practise at home.... what I'd really like is a smaller amp with headphones and the ability for me somehow 'mix' songs so I can play along to them...any suggestions greatly appreciated. Anyway - hello once again! Cheers James
