Thanks again for all the responses.
Basstractor,
Have been looking at a lot of customer reviews on many sites, and the vintage modified does look a good option...all the reviews look positive. Managed to find one not too far away from me that I will try and have a look at in the next few days.
Liam,
Have a Dawsons in Liverpool, going to try and get over there on Friday afternoon, will look into the Ibanez, sounds exactly the thing I'm looking for.
Bass-Thing,
Never thought about asking the shops about second hand ones....nice idea!

Hi Lee
Dawsons in Liverpool is great if you're near.. I can almost 100% say that you'll find a bass in there that you'll be walking out with! I bought a Road worn Fender Jazz from there when I was in Liverpool.. They let me try anything I wanted and were pretty helpful
Good Luck

Yeh, hard times I suppose.. Great bass, lovely to play, but a Jazz is my thing :-)
If it doesn't sell at this price, or I don't get the right trade I'll just keep it.. -

Evening, I'm not in the market - but would you mind measuring the nut for me please?
I'm thinking about a passive one with just the P pickup but would like to know whether the neck is more like a J or a P.
Thanks.
Paul.

Hi Paul
Width at nut/zero fret is 1.5" so more like a J than a P. My MIM Jazz neck is thinner, but same width.. -

Day off, dogs been to the beach, time for me to play
Stingrays
Fenders
Overwaters
Rickenbackers
Copies
Got about ten of those ugly 6 and 12 string things but i dont want to dirty the settee, which is from DFS i think.

Where the hell do you keep all of these bloody things?? Have you built them their own extension onto the side of the house or something?? -
Why has this had no offers?? Maple neck and it would be mine!
-
That is a lovely colour! If my Sandberg sells, I may put a bid in!
Good luck with the sale

Haha thanks man - pity you're not a 'righty'
Good luck in your search for a 'berg -
Ok mate, I'm in no hurry to get rid anyhow.. I haven't written off your trade, just not certain about it you know.. If you do raise the flash then that's cool too - it may still be available, and there is a Nash jbass that my local music store has on order so the cash would go a short way to funding that :-)
