1.
doesn't look too bad, not sure I like it in that colour though. Not entirely sure why though :)
I agree, red guitars have never really been my thing, plus I much prefer the shark-fin inlays.. Bet it sounds sweet though

  2. Hi guys,

Lefty Rick on eBay in a rare colour. Everything about it looks authentic apart from the fingerboard to me, I don't know if Rick ever did black boards with dot inlays.. also the pickups have been replaced, but it's got a decent starting price:

  3. ODS are great in my experience. As with most things, prices go down with higher qtys. I've had quotes of 10p a disc including Jewel Case and full colour on-body and folded insert.

Edit: That was for an awful lot, though.

  4. I don't know a lot about Schecters, but this seems a nice looking bass for not a lot of money. Shipping to UK seems reasonable too.

  5. Dream project, I'm very envious!

That is going to look the badgers nadgers when it's done, and you probably wouldn't be able to hear a Harrier jump jet landing outside the front door from the live room!

    Subscribed!

  6.
hey dude get in touch with Phil as well, he might be interested as aeterna will probably split up when myself and the guitarist move to Manchester at the end of July. His drumming has come on a long way in the last year as well, i can personally say i'm very happy with it :]
Hey Charic, does your new project practice in Wyton? My studio's ready for use now, nice recording setup as you may remember :)

I'm also searching for a good drummer in Cambs. Could you give me a heads up on any that are decent but don't make the lineup?

  7.
Not exactly budget basses are they!!!
No, they're mostly mid-high end, but the prices are good :)
Some nice basses there.
Unfortunately Ernie Ball won't allow new MM basses to be shipped directly outside the US as I enquired a year back when the £ was worth a lot more.
That's a shame, the honeyburst/maple looks luuurvely.

  8. Hi guys,

I don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere on the site, but there's a good sale at Bass Central at the moment, and they will ship internationally. I'm told their sale prices are negotiable, and they've got a large selection of lefties in:

  9.
Why does it say 4003 on the Flcikr site?.
I thought it was a 4003 at the time of making the photoset and up until a few days ago!

  10. Incase it helps anyone I am up for trades on recording gear, specifically a Yamaha N12 or N8 / A&H Zed R16, and / or a high-spec music PC or Mac.

    Edit: Or a lefty Wal!

Cheers Josh, don't give up Harry!

  11. Lefty Rickenbacker 4001 withdrawn from sale. No bites at a very reasonable price so I'm gonna fix the small issues and use it myself, until the recession eases off a little.

Starting at £500, seems good for the vinitage :)

  13.
Hi Biggsy, that would be me. Congrats on the Corvette I was watching that very good price in the end
Thanks mate, I just noticed your thumb on eBay yesterday actually, that'll fly out at that starting price!
Anyone considering a Thumb should contact Paul, it's a lovely example and he's a very helpful fella.

    Welcome to the forum :)

  14.
You're probably first in the queue Biggsy, but I've also pm'd expressing interest in case you pass for some reason...
    Sean
Cool, I'm yet to hear back from Maximus but I'll give you a shout if my situation changes for any reason.

I'll keep an eye out for any others as well :)

  15. Looking at it like that makes me look at breakers yards like goldmines now!

I'm sure there are examples of cars selling for more than the sum of their parts: I'm a VW enthusiast and often see 50 year old cars selling for tens of thousands. That's an aircooled boxer engine, 4 speed tranny and power-nothings. My active Jazz is more sophisticated!

  16.
If you dont get on with it i will buy it off you I really wanted it.
Sorry dude, really missed my old one that Josh took; will defo let you know if I sell it.

The dots on the neck are stickers, and are coming straight off! I'm excited cuz it's my first Handbuilt Warwick, excited to see what difference the brass nut and other subtleties are to a more modern one.
