1. I've had the same Hartke 'Model 2000' (200w) head for about 25 years without an issue, but it's now developed a problem on initial start-up. Everything appears to be ok (LED on, fan running), but no sound. If I turn it off and on again, it works fine.

    Any ideas ?

It has an 'anti-thump/soft start' feature where there's a couple of seconds delay before it's fully operating, and I'm wondering if this may be the area to look at ?

    Cheers.

Having had and sold a great-condition, stock 3000A, I'd say £600 was a good price.

Ok, maybe I should be more honest, actually I'd be delighted ! :D

  4. Rode down to the Bol d'or 24hr in '91. On arrival on the Friday afternoon, I bought my weekend ticket, pitched the tent, and settled down to read through the weekend's events.

  5. Going by the prices in these listings, for £40, I'd say you did reasonably well. ;)

    True.

As for the OP, your effects order looks good to me. It all depends on what you are trying to achieve though.

What do you use the BP50 for ?

I'd also want to experiment in swapping the OD and the synth wah around, as you'll get quite a different effect depending on which way around you have them.

The BP50 has several useable pre-set 'clean' sounds, auto-wah, chorus, a tidy Jamiroquai 'Deeper Underground'ish synth effect, and even the fretless effect is none too shabby for a 'basic fretless' feel. It's also used for the tuner. Picked it up on FleaBay a couple of years back and it's definately the best £8 I've ever spent. If I was in a situation where I could only have one pedal, the BP50 would be it.

  7. Before I finish off by shortening power leads etc, does anyone have any opinions/suggestions on whether the pedal sequence needs amending ?

I currently have the LS-2 selecting either:
    A ) BP50 processor.
    B ) Synth Wah > Over Drive > Chorus > Delay
or a mixture of A) and B), with 'Bypass' obviously being the clean 'bass and amp only' sound

Is there a better sequence for the pedal chain in B ), or am I good to go ?

Sounds fine to me, but maybe I'm missing something that would be better again.

    Cheers.
