Epiphone Jack Casady Semi Acoustic Bass in gold finish, S/N. 090921012. Purchased by me from fellow Basschatter back in 2012 approx. It is in excellent overall condition. There is one small chip photographed and a scuff mark. Low action, strung with 40 -100 Fender flats. Electrics all stock. Possible to try out with a small amp on my patio, all covid secure……

I don’t have a case for it but will throw in a cheapie gig bag if shipping. If collecting you will need to bring your own case. Will be securely packed in a gig bag, and placed in a bass box with lots of cushioning. I use a cheap courier and insure separately with Securus.com who specialise is insuring musical instruments and high value delicate items for very reasonable rates. 

So to the bass itself…. It sounds very warm smooth and bassy. I tend to use the 50 setting, which is a kind of studio setting, but if you want some umph just flick to 250 or 500….. Even playing loud on stage I haven’t had any problems with feedback. I really don’t want to let this go, but would like the Pelham Blue finish and wouldn’t need both.

So looking for £350 plus shipping at cost. Not really open to trades or offers at the moment as these are popular and I think I’ve priced it fairly considering the condition of it.

Just sold my Sire V7 fretless to Ben........ an excellent transaction and a really nice guy. We met up  (Covid secure) and had a great chat about basses and playing etc. Thanks Ben.

Sire V7 Fretless Bass 2^nd Gen. passive/active, black, with tort pickguard, alder body, a bound maple neck, and a dark gloss finished rosewood board. In excellent condition, well set up with a nice low action, currently with Fender roundwound 40 -100’s. Weighs in at 4.3kg.

Beautiful sound and amazing tonal options available: see control plate diagram in photos.  The only marks I can see are a couple of surface scratches at the rear near the base of the bass at the back: see photo.

Bought from fellow Basschatter PawelG a couple of years ago. Given the quality of workmanship, these basses are of astounding value. They were designed by Sire and Marcus Miller to be for beginners who needed a well-crafted and highly playable bass without investing in a high price instrument. Consequently they have found great favour among many musicians both amateur and semi-professional. I am only selling, as I have built my own bass as a lockdown project, and do not have space to keep this fretless beauty, sadly.

 No hardcase; the one in the photo is not part of the sale, but I’ll put the bass in a freebie gig bag and it will be well cushioned and packaged and boxed for transit. Local collection is also an option. Looking for £325.00 plus carriage & insurance at cost. (around £25 UK mainland).

Revised price: £500. Offering my mint conditioned Fender Blues Junior lacquered tweed amp which I purchased 2 months ago, but is too heavy for me to transport so selling for a lighter model, alas. Used in a bedroom practice situation maybe 4 or 5 times. This comes with the Fender cover. Comes with tags, instruction manual and original box. Noy after any trades, thanks. I'm old enough to remember the old technology...... in the 70's our guitarist got a secondhand Wem Copycat........ it was always breaking down! But its great to have the old tech in a more modern format with more reliability.......

I failed to notice how few people are using this forum and how old the posts were, alas!
