1.
I have a fairly decent (300 new) bass Ibanez 300SRXL looking for £100 ono the black 4 string version of this http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x86/fab...X300-SRX305.jpg message me for some pics if you are interested cheers
Bought this, received in excellent packaging. Just a heads up to say ta to Rob, pleasure to do business with. Cheers for all advice, the 5 string can wait a while!
 2. Chhers for all advice fellas.
filters can lose or add low-end, so try blending a filter with clean signal.
Excuse my ignorance - I'm more drummer than guitarist - but how do I do that? Do certain pedals have a bypass out as well as an effects out, and then you patch both together? Or do you mean just DI and mic the amp when gigging?
Also, don't never lose 'tha ONE' baby!
Well noted. I have 'tha one' on order from amazon, but they can't guarantee a delivery date...
shouldn't the compressor come first in the chain? after the tuner of course.
Nah! I have my compressor there to 'squelch' everything together in solos - more as a volume gain than anything. Works a treat. And the star shaped glasses? Of COURSE I've got the star shaped glasses! I've been sleeping in them!
 3. Evening all - newby here. I've played drums and guitar for too many years to think about, but recently have joined a funk-esque band on bass. Now the first thing I thought was - how can I get to Bootsy?!? What sort of pedals/effects? My usual guitar set up is tuner>phaser>octaver>overdrive>compressor>digi delay, but I'm guessing Bootsy's thang is built around envelope modulation, flangers, space dust and loony juice? What else do I need to be buying? Any tips? Cheers!
 4. Played drums in god knows how many sh1t punk bands over the years, currently playing bass for baboon and evil blizzard at the ferret every now and then, hence needing to get some half decent gear! Remember the name march, heavy stuff IIRC?
 5.
Here's a Shine 5 string on ebay, they're pretty decent for the money- link
Cheers - I automatically assumed this would be a bit sh1t because of the price tag - am I being a snob?!?
Maybe this Yamaha LINK?
This look a good one, any good/bad stories of these? I notice you're from Preston fella - so am I. Who do you play with? Cheers for all advice.
 6. Cheers all. I'm looking at spending £2-300 ideally, I don't play much so can't justify spending more unless there's a super bargain doing the rounds?
 7. Hi all, newby here. I'm after a five string bass, lefty, lower range of the price bracket please! Anything about? Or any recommendations for models I should be looking at? Please send a Pm if you have anything, and use a large font size - I'm a drummer... Cheers, ears.
