1. I currently play a MIM Jazz into a Hartke HA3500 head and a Peavey 2x15" cab. I also use an old Russian Big Muff pedal at all times...it belonged to my friend and was completely broken, I wired it all back together and now it just about works and sounds cool!

The bass is the only piece of gear I payed for myself, the rest has been bought on my behalf by the band I play in. Ideally I'd be playing through an Ampeg SVT and an Orange 1x15 + 4x10 stack.

  2. So that's not really a good price considering the condition? I'm actually looking for something a little beaten up...pristine guitars ain't my thing! Those cracks are kinda worrying though.

If the OP is looking for a '79 - http://www.ebay.co.u...c3#ht_500wt_950 a bit closer to home!

Very nice! Good price too. Not specifically looking for a '79 though...if anything I'd rather have a 68-76.

  3. I just saw this on ebay... I'm a little confused as to why it's so cheap. Is it because the condition isn't all that great and the body doesn't have the original finish / after-market bridge? Or is there something fishy going on here?

    Any input would be appreciated!

  4. I used to use Ernie Ball Slinkys but the strings would sound dead after a couple of gigs and I'd snap one not long after that. I now use DR Hi-Beams and the difference is incredible! If you order them from America you can get them for around £20 a set.

Isn't that a rosewood board you're playing on your avatar?? :P

Don't you remind me! haha. Couldn't pass on the sweet price though, and I was on a pretty tight budget at the time. ;)
