  1. anyway guys, ended up with a GK Neo 2 x 12 that im running with a GB Streamliner 600. I have 4 gigs this week so will let u know how the cab gets on. Sounded great in the shop. So far my back has really enjoyed lifting it from my van into my house aswell :) !

  2. hey guys, went to bass direct the other day and came away with a GB Streamliner 600 and GK Neo 212 cab. Have to say im pretty happy and love the sound im getting. I have 4 gigs this week so will let anyone who's interested how the amp and cab perform. Cheers for all your help in my search.

  3. perhaps not exactly right on topic but just got the streamliner 600 with a GK Neo 212 and am really happy (so far). If i had 400 pounds extra i would have got it with a GB Uber 2x12 or 4 x10 as it sounded even more amazing than the GK in the shop. However, i didnt so got the Neo cab instead. Still sounds absolutely sweet! I have 4 gigs this week (starting tomorrow) so i will let anyone who wants to know how i rate the gear.

  4. LMAO, sweet guys, cheers for the great advice. i guess it all comes down to preference in the end. I think a trip out of Wales to Bass Direct or Bass Merchant is in order. Was hoping to avoid the fuel costs but i think given that im probably going to spend well over a grand then i better not just take a gamble. Bet you im either going to come away with GK or GB cabs though!

  5. Hey guys, decent thread this. Just wondering if you could offer me some advice. I want to get a Genz Benz Streamliner 600 and am thinking about pairing two Gallien Krueger Neo cabs with it. At the moment i am thinking about getting the 1 x 15 and the 2 x 10 and running them parallel. Should mean i get 300w each out of them. However, i was wondering whether i should be getting a 2 x 12 neo. It would have to be 8 0hm as i would still probably get the 15" aswell. Anyway, to cut a long story short, would the 375w the GB amp puts out at 8ohm be enough for the 2 x 12 as a stand alone cab in small/mid size venues?

  6. This is prob a stupid question but im fairly new to the technical aspects of cabs and amps. Would a bass terror 500 have any problem powering 2 x SP212's? I want to make a mini stack and want to make sure i can optimise the cabs for big venues. Thanks

  7. Hi guys, just wondering if anyone had played through any of the Orange Smart Power Cabs, especially the 212? Do they actually sound like a proper 210 or 2x12 or are we talking here about a cab that is just like playing with a 1 x 10 or a 1x12. I also understand that they are very small so do they simply not push enough air in decent sized venues? your thoughts would be appreciated. thanks

  8. Hey guys, i just sold my ashdown evo 4x 10 combo and am looking to buy a new rig with a budget of around £1300 . I am thinking of either an Orange Terror Bass Amp Head with 2 x SP212 cabs (or maybe an OBC115 instead of one of the 212's) or a Marbass Little Mark 3 with a traveler 102 and a traveler 151 (the 15inch one anyway). I have tried the markbass stuff and like it alot but i love Orange sound. I am however, not convinced about Orange SP series cabs as i havent heard them. I am in an Indie Rock band that regularly plays to 200-300 and occasionally 1000 and we gig alot so all Amp/Cab options have to be portable and light. So sometimes i ideally want to only take half a rig e.g. one 2x10. A really lightweight and awesome 4x10 cab may be an option though. Let me know your thoughts guys. Thanks for the help.
