2.
Hi All, Ideally looking to trade my Marcus Miller Signature Jazz Bass for another Jazz but must have Rosewood Neck - I just prefer the warmth of Rosewood over Maple. I acquired this from another Basschat member in August last year - I've given the Maple a good go but just cannot get the warmth of tone I am so fond of.

This bass is in very good condition, there are some light fingernail scratches on the scratchplate but that is all. Here's a couple of pics to whet your whistle:

I'm located in Wiltshire, work in Bristol, could travel within reasonable distance. If anyone is after more detailed pics please let me know.

    Cheers, Pete. :)
hay man i will trade with you i have a fender use jazz bass with rose wood

  3. hay guy i want to know What goes well with Marshall mbc cabs??? because as much as i love my Marshall MB450H i really want to try other amp heads that are lighter and just as good as the marshall mb head, even valve amp i been thinking about getting
BUT i need to get an amp head that goes down to 2ohm!!

PLEASE HELLP and am open for a trade as well

  4.
I picked this up in a trade plus cash (from me) recently and it is a superb bass. It's a Sandberg PM5 Custom Shop in a gorgeous yellowed colour and has been sympathetically reliced.

Build quality, playability and sounds are amazing and it has got to be one of the best put-together basses I've had in my mitts. The Delano pickups and preamp are superb and the range of tones available from the P Bass pickup and the MM pickup will surely cover everything you would need.

I've measured the scale from nut to bridge and it's the same as my Fender P bass. Due to a hand/arm injury, I have problems playing a 5 string bass :)

Weight-wise I would say it's 9lbs (ish) but can check later.

Price-wise I would be looking for £950 or for a trade of a similar value (4 string only I'm afraid and probably passive- I'm a massive Fender P fan :)). I'd also be happy with cash plus a bass or cash plus an Epifani cab (3x10 or 2x12).

    Further pics are here:

hay man what happen with the bass was it not your cup of tea in the end of the day :/ hope you find what you want

  5.
I've manage dto pick up another Fender (new Series) USA Jazz bass in a trade and wondered if anyone has any interesting trades to offer at all as I already have one of these.

It's in superb condition, lightweight (C 8.5lbs) and plays beautifully. The colour is a gorgeous Sunburst/tortoise shell/rosewood.

I have nothing in mind in particular by way of trades but I like Sandbergs (PM's) Fenders (US P basses, 5 string Jazzes), Musicman, Lakland (Bob Glaub, Duck, Hollowbody), double bass?..

Please PM me with any trade bait :)
hello i know this is not in the list of things you want but i think this might take your intrest maybe http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...;hl=sandberg+pm

  6.
Hey there guys,

Lately the thought of having another Warwick or Spector has really been racing through my mind and now I'm in the midst of saving for Uni I can't really afford to jump on some of the bargains that have been on here as of late, so basically I'm just seeing if anyone would be up for a trade for my MM which I've had for the last 6/7 months or so and I've really enjoyed it and will happily stay with it if nothing really takes my fancy, and being in the rare sunburst finish to me gives it a little more to look at compared to the natural version which is every where.

I bought this from Eubassix and as such it came in fantastic condition and I have kept it this way too. I'm not too sure as to the age of this bass but the serial number is: T037144 if anyone would like to check it out. But the condition of this bass is damn near mint and there are no faults or anything to note. It does come with the pick up cover and it is indeed made in Japan.

Trade wise I would ideally like a straight trade as I said that spare money for me right now is not really a option although if seriously needed and for the right deal I can add some money but it would probably on be £50 at best. I'd preferably like to try and get a Warwick Streamer 4 or 5 string of some description, maybe a BO Thumb 5 string, or a Spector Euro 4 or 5 or maybe a Rebop plus cash my way.

If anyone has another active Jazz or similar then I'm all ears :)

If there's any other info or more pics required please just let me know,

    Thanks guys,

    Josh.
9.
As the post topic would suggest im looking to put my JM5 up for trade, its an awesome bass and has one of the most beautiful necks ive ever played on but TBH im starting to think that as lovely as the bass is that tonally its not for me, im guessing that this is due to the Alnico Delano pickups that the bass is fitted with. The bass (with the exception of a couple of small dings) is in very good condiotion and amazingly has no buckle rash on the back of the bass

Trade wise would be very intrested in a Musicman 5 string, Yamaha TRB5 mk1 and might be tempted by a Lakland 5 string but might be open to other trades as long as it has a low B

Unfortunately im located in Dundee so obviously this could throw a spanner in the works with any potential trade with folk south of the border

here is a couple of pics from camera phone until i can get some proper ones taken
going for £1100 offers are welcome

  16.
As I am sure a few people on this forum will have seen before, I totally rave about Sandberg basses. Despite a big fall out with the guys at Synergy Distribution regarding a former endorsement, I have decided to go a bit crazy and take out a big loan to treat myself to a new bass. Now when I initially had this idea a few weeks ago, there would have been no competition for a Cali JM5, but I went into a shop and had a bash on a Spector Euro LX 5 and for the price I was totally blown away by the sound, feel and ease of which I could play it despite being so hung over I was shaking like a leaf, made the shop reek of booze and had to wear my aviators indoors.

The specific Spector I am looking at is for sale on this forum and has a Schack eq fitted, so I guess I want to know peoples opinions on that as well as Spectors in general.

The Sandberg it is going up against is this one -

    http://www.thomann.de/gb/sandberg_california_jm5_mn_bb.htm

I already know what to expect from this bass and know it is gorgeous :)

Oh what should I do?! If anyone has alternatives my budget is about a grand........
hello this my bass that i have for sale its a custom shop bass and i have not seen anyother bass like this if you like becouse you might have to trivel i will sell it to you for £1100 tell me what you think

  17.
In the last 5 years i've been through quite a few basses (in chronological order)

    Spector Q6 Pro
    Yamaha BB614
    Fender Jazz MIM
    Ibanez Musician MC900
    Musicman Stingray 2EQ
    Lakland 55-02
    Warwick Corvette $$ 5
    Bacchus Venus 5
Overwater Progress III Deluxe (Still owned)
    Epiphone Thunderbird (Still owned)

And, after experiencing all of these wonderful instruments, i've come to the conclusion I still don't know what I want. The quality and price of the instrument does not seem to correlate directly to the enjoyment I get from it, this baffles me. If I had to pick between my T-Bird and the Overwater for a quick play, the T-Bird will win.

I'm starting to think having such an expensive instrument as the Progress is perhaps wasted on me, as I don't really appreciate it for what it can do. It is an exquisite instrument in terms of construction quality, and aesthetically also - is very pleasing. However I never pick it up and have a grin on my face after (ignoring initial honeymoon period of when I got it). I can't get on with the EQ at all and am not convinced changing it would make me love the bass. I think selling it and buying a couple of cheaper basses (with different sound pallets) would make me happier than one top quality custom bass.

Does anyone else find dissatisfaction with almost everything they get ?
hay man try this one out you will not regret it i have one

  20.
I currently have a Yamaha TRB 1005 and I am looking to get a new 5 string very soon. I am pretty set on a MM Stingray 5 which i played this week, I was blown away by the way they play and sound. I was wondering if there are any other basses that I should try in the same price range (£1000 - £1500) before I commit to buying, but more importantly, where I can get a chance to test them. I am based in Leeds and in my experience it is difficult to come across basses in this price range, so I am willing to travel to a more specialist bass shop. A few that have caught my eye include Overwater aspiration Deluxe 5 and the G&L L2500. I mainly play rock, metal and a bit of funk, I am not gigging at the moment but might be in the future.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
