Fender Marcus Miller Jazz Bass, Natural, Made in Japan.

    More Pics here:

This has been my gigging bass since September and I have done all my playing with this bass since then - gigging, rehearsing, recording, everything! It feels great to play and sounds the bomb.

There are a few dents in the back of the neck from where it tried to slide along the front of the stage once, not huge but one or two big enough to notice and feel whilst playing. These are merely dents in the lacquer and I am willing to look into the possibility of splitting the cost of re-coating the neck if so desired.

The scratch plate has been doing its job well so theres obvious scuffing from plectrums and finger nails and the like.

Tip top edge of the front side of the head stock has a bit of paint transfer but I'm sure that'll scrub off.

Apart from that, this bass is clean and tidy. Currently set up with D'Addario Half Wounds which give it a really nice, warm, round sound. Comes with the original pick up cover too.

I have installed a set of strap locks to the bass, they are gold (obviously not to everyones taste but they go pretty nicely with the natural finish) and the other ends are attached to a nice red suede over black leather strap which is included.

Case shows obvious signs of being carted here and there, and the on the spine of the case have snapped off but it will still stand that way. Structurally there are no problems, all the clasps still clasp and there's a cool compartment for storing the essentials (strings, fast fret etc). And the nice red interior is a bonus too. :)

Theres a few extras I'm willing to throw in:

    - Planet Waves Bass String Winder (very handy)

    - 20 ft Neutrik Jack - Right Angle Jack lead

If I find anything else thats worth having I will put it up here, you are welcome to decline these extras but they wont cost you any more dosh.

The price for this characterful instrument and extras is:

    [s]£650 ONO[/s] SOLD

Thats more than £400 less than buying a new one with the same hardcase and excludes the cost of extras I'm chucking in.

You're welcome to come and have a test drive, I'm based in Thatcham, Berkshire.

Collection preferred, willing to discuss logistics of shipping.

Any questions, send over a PM with 'Marcus Miller J-Bass' in the description.

    Cheers

  2.
I have to say it's the best bass amp I've ever heard, amazingly lovely rounded, punchy sound with that unmistakeable tube clank and grind that can't be faked.

I literally bought this amp today, I've dreamed of trying one of these for ages. So, why the rush to sell it on again so soon? I play guitar in a 2-piece band and I have an unusual biamped rig involving a guitar amp on one side and a bass fuzz and POG into bass amp on the other side. The current amp in that setup is a solid state job - nothing special for bass, but it works really well in my guitar rig because I hit it with a lot of boosted bass freqs and fuzz and because it's SS, it holds together well. I was hoping the AD200B would be even better, but sadly it just doesn't sound right in my rig. It doesn't take the extra bass and fuzz so well.

I asked the seller if he'd take it back but he said he wasn't up for that, so I have to sell it on and recoup my money!

It's in really great condition with a nice padded Silverstone cover. I'll take £750 for it which I feel is a very fair price for these having had a look at what they've sold for previously on here, plus postage to cover insured delivery if you insist, though I'd obviously rather meet up (I'm down in Devon).

If nobody's interested it won't pain me too much to keep it for when I do grab my bass, as it is truly a thing of beauty :)

    Fender Jaguar CIJ!

This is now back on the market, so i thought id'e better take some good photos and show you how sexy this fender is!

•Firstly! Mine is NOT very buzzy! i'm not sure if this is all jags or not, but this is the only one i have owned but its fine for me!

•The frets are bass'icly mint! i would rate them at 10/10

•The Jag has been upgraded by me with a shaller adjustable bridge, with left/right moving rails. Not sure if it made a differense to the sound, but its a solid bit of metal and adds to the value

•The neck and body i would rate at 8.5/10, theres a few little blems, but you can see from the pics non which detract form the booty of the bass!

•For me it doesn't sound like a jazz bass! sure the basic tone is there, but it has its own unique sound! very warm, with a lot of bite at the bridge pickup.

•Switches for the pickups, and a S1 Switch!!!!

•Active two band preamp!, never used it though  i made a video demonstrating the sounds :)

For sale, i'm looking for £500 ish. fender don't make these anymore, so obviously the value is going nowhere but up!
Bass centre sold the last one for £750! and iv'e seen a few decent ones sell on eBay for £630. (trust me i was bidding on it!!!!)

  8.
Hey guys,
I bought this off Basschats own Shockwave a few weeks back and as brilliant as the bass is, i just cant get my head to fall into using a 5 string again.
So i'm looking to sell this for what i paid. I've asked Shockwave if he'd mind me using the pictures he took.

This is the blurb that he wrote:- "Features the more favored 4/1 headstock, Montego Black/Gold Scratchplate combination with a lovely Maple neck. 34" Scale

This bass has had the some what anemic original active electronics taken out and replaced with a John East J-retro Deluxe which gives you ultimate control over your bass. Features Active/passive switch, Bass, Treble, Extra bright push pull switch, Mid volume and Mid contour control, as well as a passive tone control! Maximum knobbage!

    http://east-uk.com/jretrodeluxe01.pdf

Complementing the pre-amp is a set of Seymour Duncan Quarterpounders, lovely hot pickups with loads of grind that can be toned down to a nice full funk sound. All electronics have been FULLY shielded with copper tape. There is little to no background noise when the bass is plugged in.

The bass has a lovely Low action which is happy to be adjusted. The Truss rod is working well 100%.

There are playing marks on the body which are quite hard to show up under lights. You would have to look at it in the right light to see!"

I would be looking for what I paid for this bass - £900. I'm based in Aberdeen.
Not sure what i'd be looking for in a trade.
