  1. If someone is willing to take the lot, yes the footswitch and the cabs, and the head and the spare pre amp tubes and the brand new speakons, I will take £500 for a quick sale as i am in the middle of renovations at home and just don't have the space, the pics don't really do it justice, I've tried to show the worst bits so s not to waste anyone's time.
Can deliver or meet somewhere if it helps.
Grab yourself a bargain these cabs alone are still on sale at over £600 each on some websites!

  3. I have the Epiphone silverburst version which supposedly has mahogany wings , if you look at the specs there are quite a few differences between the various models such as nut width neck thickness etc , I used to have a standard sunburst a few years ago and didn't get on with it, neck seemed a bit fat and round at the nut position, I maybe imagining it but the Silverburst seems to be slimmer and around the nut end and easier to play also definitely seems to sound better than my old one.
Thinking of moving it on as I need to scratch a Sandberg itch!

Nice Ashdown rig. What model is the head?

How do you find the Bass Collection Power Bass? Was tempted to get the "Lizzy" one a while back.
[/quote]Thanks,I love the power bass, good value for money I got mine ex display from Anderton's fo 199 then changed the scratch plate and all the metal work, I bought it as back up to my Lodestone but have ended up gigging it more.
The head is the ABM 500 Black Edition, same as the the standard but black front and metal knobs.

  5. Everyone seems to jump straight to DI as soon as things start to get a bit loud (I did myself) but then started to realise that you are losing the tone and air from your speakers so I bought myself a bass drum mic and for most gigs use that and everyone says how good it sounds, if playing somewhwere with a bigger house PA and the engineer wants to mix the signal and wants one clean then DI and mic, the other thing with some DIs is they are pre EQ so you only get flat signal and in some cases if you have a valve section in you only get the clean signal.
No right and wrong just down to personal choice and how accurately you want to project your stage sound thru the PA
    Cheers
