1. Hi,

If I put a blank line into a post such as:

    http://basschat.co.u...ost__p__1377428

it seems to end up as a double blank line! Looks fine when I'm entering the post, and looks fine in the preview but when in the normal forum display there seems to be too much space where the blank lines were entered. In the example above there was one blank line entered before each of the links to Jack's pictures and one after but the resulting post seems to have much more than one blank line before each link and a little more than one blank line after. It'll be interesting to see how this post turns out (one blank line before and after the link above - looks fine in the preview)!

  2. I don't know why this should be but the "Jack" on this page is:

    http://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/basschat-uploads-live/profile/photo-thumb-333.gif

which doesn't dance while the picture on Jack's profile page is:

    http://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/basschat-uploads-live/profile/photo-333.gif

which does dance. Somehow the link on the post pages needs to be made to be the latter rather than the former. Any ideas admins?

  3. Looks like I must be playing the wrong thickness strings because I still prefer B! I don't think it's because it's louder either since I can turn it down to be quieter than the other two and still prefer it. To my ears the instruments can be heard more clearly, there's more character and more excitement. A and C both sound rather flat & muffled in comparison. I'd keep your guitarist in the loop with the mixing.

  4. I like B - OK it is distorted but at least it's clear, has some energy and is much more exciting. A and C both sound muffled to me so with that in common I'd guess that these are your recordings and B is the studio going for a live sound.

It looks like parallel to me ...
No, it's series as KiOgon said.
Check those labels again  2x15" I reckon :)
Ah! chris_b was typing same time as me :)

Edit again: Looks like they're 2 x 8 Ohm units wired in series so 16 Ohm as is, you could change it to 4 Ohm if you want to wire them in parallel.
6. I hope you don't mind me asking but I see quite a few threads discussing the defretting of basses and I'm curious to know why this is being considered rather than a change of bass to a fretless model. I can see the advantages of obtaining an already fretless bass since it can be tried to determine suitability but to turn a fretted bass into a fretless seems a step into the unknown. Are fretless basses scarce, expensive, not as good as defretted? Thanks for your time.

sound like him.Likewise,Tim C will sound similar to how he does on his fancy rig with pretty much anything.

There is a video of Billy Sheehan playing a Danelectro at a trade show through a Pigtronix Philosophers Tone
pedal, and he sounds just like Billy Sheehan.
I agree, I think much of somebody's sound comes from the person.
