  1. Hi all, My names david and i'm looking to join a covers band in eastbourne, east sussex or within 10/15 miles of that area. Im 44 yrs old and have been playing for some years now, and really miss being in front of an audience, absolutely love to play bass. Looking to join a band who rehearses at least once a week and gigs regularly, and has fun, enjoy playing most genres of music especially rock, dance and anything funky. Influences are players and bands such as, Stevie Wonder, Chic, Toto, Nathan Watts, Queen, Bootsy Collins, Average White band, Ian Drury, Pink Floyd, Mark King, Brothers Johnson, anything that will touch/move an audience. Im reliable always show up on time, dont mind driving or lugging gear around ! Can learn songs pretty quickly. All the Best David
  2. Brickhouse - The Commodores, very funky bassline with lots of room for improvisation Lets Work- Prince , IMO a bit of 'tasteful slap' !
  3. Thanks for the link it's helped me work the rest out.
  4. Hi everyone Been learning Narada Michael Waldens 'I should Have Loved Ya' the last few days What a great song and very funky baseline trouble is I've come a bit stuck on the verse and tiny bit of the chorus. Would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction for the sheet music/tab as I'm supposed to be Playing it live in 7 days . I'm sure someone may have asked this before but would be really grateful of any help. All the best David
