  1. Hi,
Perfect working order, brought a few years ago and stored since as never really used it.
Great condition, comes with lead and potentially box if I can find it.
£80 posted or pick up from winslow bucks
    Cheers
Pics when photobucket stops being seriously crap

  2. Classic vibe jazz in great condition, slight buckle rash on back otherwise brilliant
Good lowish action, strings are good.
Comes with pearl white plate and original tortoise shell
    £250 as standard

Can come with dimazio ultra jazz pick ups and USA jack plate with kiogon pots for £70 extra
Can post for cost price in and old gig bag and box from a recent bass purchase, collection preferred from winslow mk18
Trade for a small lightweight head, markbass etc or eb stingray can obviously add monies.

Bought one of these off a BC'er a few months back
    ......and I love it!

They're fab basses, they look, feel and sound the biz
I played 2 USA Jazzes recently, and they didn't come anywhere near as nice as my roadworn

A lot of people talked these up when I was thinking about buying one
.... and they were right :)

If you're considering one of these - give this a whirl
It's a fair price for one of these beauties too

    Have a free bump clashcityrocker
    Great name BTW

Cheers Marc, is a very nice bass, seems a shame to not play it.
Unfortunately I'm too young to have every seen the clash but they are by far my favourite band, even got the China rocks logo tattooed on my leg :-)

  4. Hi all. When the mot man laughs and says the failures have made it on to two pages, you know it's gunna be an expensive week. So I need money to repair my work van, and I don't really play this much so it makes sense to sell it. Another bass iv bought that doesn't compare to my mm sterling.
Roadworn jazz bass,in beautiful sunburst and nice road relicing. Classic jazz sound and is surprisingly light. I would say mint condition but it isn't,although it is how it left the factory :-)
I'm after 580 collected from just south of Milton Keynes MK17 0ew, do not want to post at the moment as have no gig bag for it.
The only trade I may be tempted by is something MM with a thin neck, the Sterling Classic Active sort of thing,as I do need a cheaper back up bass.

    Thanks for reading,Simon

Interestingly, it seems that the majority of people who can 'hear the difference' between an aged Fender and a new one are those who have just spent £14K on an old one... difference or self justification?
Not an easy one to answer without p*ss*ng people off. :)

I think I would get that tattooed on my hands if I had just spent 14k on one!

  6. I was thinking the Chocolate shade of the dye I linked would do the job. Apparently this stuff is just re labelled and sold in the US as fretboard dye. I assume this won't adhere to the frets but the dot markers worry be abit

  7. Been doing some research into 'dyeing' or staining rosewood boards, I dislike really cheap looking light boards.most info seems to be based in the us,just wondered if anyone here had tried it? Have applied lemon oil but doesn't make it proper dark, not looking for ebony black just that nice dark brown found on old fenders.
This seems to get good reviews...
