3.
Don't know if I have the experience but have been playing about 10 years. mature (over35) lady bass player willing to tackle most stuff!! Did the diploma in bass at the guitar institute 2 years ago and got decent marks (70%) due to hard work learning the material. I don't compete with the guitarist - don't want to do hours of solos - but will play your arrangements exactly as written and hold down the groove. Already use a hartke amp which has been a fantastic bit of kit for all the gigging - coped with most styles and isn't huge! Currently between bands and looking for new challenges having just finished with some rock guys (guitarist left and wasn't easily replaceable!) . have mostly gigged with pub covers bands although have done some jazz both as part of the bass course and with others!! Have also written some original material - pop based - and licky enough to get a bit of airtime on radio. Unfortunately writing partner moved to Japan! contact me if you want to meet up. [email protected]
Hi Tereas, where abouts in the UK are you based? Cheers, Pete.
 4. Hi, I`m looking for an accomplished and versatile bass guitarist. I`ve been UK clinician for Taylor guitars for the last few years but they`ve now decided to move their European distribution to Fender ....so I`m now about to undertake a masssive new ongoing promotion with Larrivee guitars which will include alot of clinics / demo`s / gigs etc throughout the UK and Ireland. It`s essentially "show off " acoustic guitar playing with some tech talk thrown in for good measure. I`ve always done them with another guitarist but after 7 years I`m pretty bored with it and fancy doing them with a good bass player instead, it`s not out-and-out Jazz, there is some bluegrass, folk, blues, swing... alsorts of stuff ...but alot of it is quite fast with some fairly intricate arrangements. What I`m looking for really is a "chemistry", I know lots of gnarly old jazzers who can play (and read) fly sh*t and who`ve "been there and done it all"...but I`m not calling any of them, when I tour I like to have fun and can`t be doing with "old moaners"... my living is playing the guitar but my hobby is laughing.... and I like to do alot of it. (Please note, A Larrivee 4 string acoustic bass will be supplied on loan which HAS to be used for the gigs.) If anyone is interested let me know and we`ll hook up and see if we gel musically. Thanks, Pete Smith www.petesmithguitarist.com
