1. The one bass that i kept after years of lustfully trying everything under the sun.

One of the most comfortable basses to play, the neck is great.

This was apparently rosewood fretboard original but was given a maple board by Jon Shuker at some point. there's a small flake of varnish missing around the 5th fret i think which I've tried to show on photo.

One of the knobs is a bit wonky but all electronics are fine. It's fitted with a set of OBL pick ups and a hipshot extender.

Comes with an original case too with some great mojo, one of the buckles has fallen off but this is still available if you want to reattach (case works fine without)

2. Bought on here for a project that didn't go anywhere and now only playing double bass with no need for amplification.

I've had almost every type of Barefaced cab and i think this probably comes out on top, its fantastic.

I'm sure there's no need for description here.

One of the silver buckle cover things has popped off on the handle but obviously makes no difference to function and is easily replaced.

This has been with me to one rehearsal only.

Protective cover included.

3. Only playing Double Bass in an amateur orchestra now so ALL my gear is going up for sale.

Picked this up last year on hear and it hasn't been out of the house, it's one of my favourite BF cabs (I've had 2 of these).

The fattest, deepest bass I've ever had and a genuine lightweight, one-cab solution.

the price is set low as I've noticed a buzz when certain notes resonate, i can't pin it down but will take it to a tech after my holidays and if they clear it the price will go up to £400 which is still less than i paid.

The previous owner removed the top handle to allow amp to sit better on the cab and this is included in the sale of course.

Protective cover included.

Collection from Manchester, M28.

Info from Barefaced:

Barefaced 'Big One'
Massive bottom end, mid range punch, treble clarity and, for their weight, the loudest deepest bass cabs you can buy... 'Is that another fifteen?' Why yes it is, a very special one. 'And what's that other speaker in there?' It's six and a half inches of punch, clarity, growl and sweetness. 'But it's just a big speaker and a little speaker, all in one box. I've seen cabs like that from other makers.'

The magic is inside the box - a full 2-way crossover, akin to that found in the very best studio monitors, which splits the sound between the two speakers, so each speaker can concentrate on doing what it does best. No other crossover found in a bass guitar cab has this complex topology, with very steep slopes so it is all but impossible to overpower the midrange driver, so that you get no interference between drivers either side of the crossover point, and so that you get the most accurate and realistic sound whether you're the bassist, a bandmate or a fan.

Big One - our flagship model. The massive port may give away that there is something different about this classic looking cab. So what is going on behind that silver cloth grill? Well it's a very very special fifteen plus a tiny giant of a six and a half inch midrange driver. Prepare for a tone, bottom and output revelation!

Featuring a extremely high excursion neo woofers in an oversized ported enclosures gives the Big One the ability to move more air and give you a fatter high SPL bass sound than most cabs twice their size (and how many more times its weight?!)

Because this woofer is so good at going low it is not good at going high - the rest of your sound comes from an extremely high output 6.5" midrange speaker which gives you more tone and volume than you can believe possible from such a small speaker - it can cut through even the densest rock mix. Not only that but because this speaker is small it disperses your midrange much better than if it were coming from a larger woofer. Stand anywhere in the room and you will hear almost exactly the same tone - no other bass cab can achieve this!

4. Another item to fund the costly restoration of my old double bass.

This is a high end German compact PA system.

Consists of a powered sub which also contains amps and DSP to power the two passive tops and the passive sub. It can also power another pair of tops if needed (and if you could afford them!)

I bought this last year when the band was down to two of us plus a full range backing track (drums, guitars, brass and backing vox) and the sound quality is simply stunning. It is also very powerful for its size and weight (drivers are neo). All the cabs are high quality birch ply and everything is built like a tank. I like "boys toys" so will be happy if my other items sell first and I can keep this even if it's been unused since March as I'm off doing upright nonsense instead these days.

Include in the sale:

1 x powered sub
1 x passive sub
2 x passive tops
All necessary cables
2 x K&M tripod stands and 1 sub mounted pole
Custom Fohhn covers for subs and tops

The passive sub was bought new last year (just under £1000!) the rest of the system is a few years old.

Demo possible and collection from Manchester

Retail price for this full system is almost £5k
