1.
Hey, it's Christmas day We're just fitting it in around all the other stuff we have to do today. You'll usually find JTUK to be one of the better informed posters on here
No hard feelings, but if time's short it'd be better not to say anything. Saying "usless idea" really doesn't help at all, but I'll be genuinely interested in the follow up reasoning when JTUK has a bit more time. I am a bit of a novice and admit it, that's why I'm here! Steve
 2.
Useless idea....
Thanks for the reply, but to be honest any reply that's not backed up by some sort of reason is not of any interest to me - I'm here to learn after all. If you carry on with "Useless idea ... because..." that would be great. Thanks Steve
 3.
if you're wondering this on xmas morning i can only think that santa brought you a pretty darn sizeable present !!
Pure coincidence! I've been looking at a new setup for a while. Was looking at a 410 and 115, but saw an 810 for a decent price and got me thinking. Sounds like it'd be pretty pointless. On the other hand I'm not that keen on the idea of just an 810 as I like quite a deep boomy sound and wonder if I'd miss the 15". Steve
 4. I know this may sound a bit daft, but apart from the weight issue is there any reason not to hook up an 810 and 115 cab together? Would it be pointless or even not work? Steve
 5. Very little info about EBS gear anywhere, trying to get an idea of the difference between Neoline and Proline EBS cabs - apart from weight of course. Very different tone? Any reliability issues? Cheers, Steve
 6.
why not see what the guys you mention play?
I have been looking and continue to - but none of them play Spectors! Why the Fafner JR? I know it's said to have this extra warmth, but would the TD660 not be able to give a warm punchy sound too with the right settings and bearing in mind it has a tube? I'm just aware that the Spector has it's own tone and characteristics and want to get something that'll work well with it. The others I had on my list were a Markbass LMKIII and the Ampeg SVT (either SVT4 Pro or SVT VR). Thanks both for the replies. Steve
 7. Been looking at the TD660, but heard lots about the clear "hi fi" sound that is so favoured by slap guys. I play rocky/punky/indie stuff like U2, Smashing Pumpkins, Cure, Elastica, Papa Roach and many others - what it isn't is funky, but it's not thrash metal either. What I'm looking for is traditional thumping and warmth I suppose. I've got a Spector Euro 4 and 5. Now I know advice #1 would be try it myself, and I might well, but looking for any opinions/exeprience of this amp and especially with the Spectors. Many thanks, Steve
