2.
Excellent! Fankx FH. I have been thinking about grabbing a Q3HD - though it's not too high on the priority list at the moment - it's great to see it in action!
Hi Dood, I can not speak highly enough of the Zoom.
I Recorded a couple of tunes at the Buskers that I go along too. It was nearly pitch black on the stage area and the volume was quite loud. Although this does not seem apparent on the vid.
No bass gymnastics going on,, just a couple of simple tunes .

3.
Hi Mark. Sorry I ment that my playing was out of tune up top. Yours sounded great. I love the chords you play at the start.
Cheers Geoff
Thanks Geoff, The chord thing is just a Stanley, Mark King, Jaco rip off. You yourself, have something completely original going on :)
Best regards, Mark

BTW for any of the bass chatters looking on this thread.
There are some great video contributions here from members I don’t really see posting in other topics very often.
I would love to see the main regular members who advise us on amp and bass guitar tone, contribute some videos.
I am a simple bloke. I will take advice and criticism of anyone if I think I can improve upon it.
The same comes to bass and amp selection. Some members give a great deal of opinions expertise and advice on "This bass and that amp etc”
Where possible I always trust my ears rather than my eyes when it comes to gear choice
I really would enjoy any new videos that the members have to offer.
Best regards, Mark

4.
Thanks a lot wombatboter and funkyhobbit! It's a bit out of tune up top but it often is :-)

...I enjoyed your playing funkyhobbit. Great bass too!
Thanks for your kind words, yea your right about being out of tune. The open string major 3rd chord things i was trying did sound out. I will have to check the intonation.
Best regards, Mark

5.
I always feel respect for that hard work upright bassplayers have... on electric it's just a lot easier.
Nice thing which you have going and I love the feel and your timing, great ..
Yup that there is the real deal. Every time I try an upright it sounds like cow farting :)

6. I used to have a couple of those Bag End Q10BX-D 410,s a couple of years back. The best Hifi sounding cab on the market but at over 100lbs in weight!!!! back breakers.
BTW if there are any BC,ers from the North East going I,ll be on the 6.00am train out of Newcastle Central Station on Saturday Morning.
If anyone wants to hook up, give me a ring on my business mobile 07970348377.

Regards, Mark

8. I was lucky enough to see him with Bela Fleck in Glasgow a couple of years ago.
Blown away by his melodic supportive finger style bass playing. Every bit awesome as his slap playing.
He truly is an amazing musician of many facets.

Advise anyone to get a hold of the DVD " Bela Fleck live at the Quick"

9. Had a chance to play this bass today when I was sorting the deal out on my Jazz with Warwickhunt.
I gigged a USA NS2 for alot of years as my main bass. I have to say that this bass is as close as I have heard to a good USA one.
It is well set up with little to no frett wear. Nice sustain and a great example of a Czech Spector.
Anyone who fancys it dont miss out on a great bargain.

Regards,Mark

10. Up for sale is my Squire Jazz.
I bought this from “Marcus” here on basschat a few weeks ago.
I have tried a couple of times to get into Jazz basses (had a nice FMT from Richardd last year) but they are not my thing.
I think that this model is a 62 RI. The bass has the narrow neck profile, skinny frets and brass bridge saddles.
It is in A1 almost new condition the fit and finish is fantastic also. No dings or damage is visible anywhere on the bass.

The tone of the bass is fantastic considering it is made in China. The reason I bought the bass was on tone and playability alone, and had nothing to do with what it said on the headstock.
The tone of the bass is so good that “Marcus” invested some money in the bass by having or own “Bass Doc” retrofit a brand new set of Active EMG, s and check/set the neck. The E and A strings produce a nice chorus sounding “Dong” when slapped and the D and G strings have a nice transparency that you would find on Jazz basses three or four times the price. Sorry no case included but it does come fitted with a fresh set of DR 40-100 Fat beams.

A Gem of a cheapy bass that would pass for a good sounding USA jazz.

I think it is fairly priced to you all at £200.00. No reductions or trades.

I would like cash on collection from someone local to the North East or someone who is prepared to travel.

Here are a few pics, please PM me if you have any interest.

Regards, Mark

Hey ho fella, how ya feeling after the oP?

Did the aforementioned blue one, once belong to Dick Nolan from It Bites?
