1.
where are you based?
PM'd
2. This is an all trannie version of the Ampeg sound so not a true SVT but a great thumping rock amp. Yes it does sound gritty and rocky, if you do a search on this site there are LOTS of good comments for this amp. Here is what AMPEG say about it http://www.ampeg.com/products/b/b2re/index.html
3.
I'll mention it to my nephew tomorrow evening (Blues Club in Portsmouth) and see if I can tempt him. If it were my kind of amp I'd have had that myself.
Thanks Steve....if he is interested my mobile is 07800 729260
4. Hey Sluggo, PM me with where you are in London to see if I can get it to you by Monday.
5. Pics added. the cabs have sold. Just plugged the head into the cabs to demo them and it sounded AWESOME!!! If you are local to Portsmouth this amp is a genuine steal. Steve - thanks for the PJ suggestion, will keep that in mind.
6. I have for sale a pair of older Ashdown MAG Deep cabs: both with carpet covering •1x15 deep cab, 250W 8ohms - . •2x10 deep cab, 250W 8ohms - Both are in good functional order and sound very good. The carpet and corners naturally have minor wear from use. Originally sold as B stock (slight cosmetic defects) nothing that will affect the sound or durability of these classic cabs. £150 or offers...they gotta go will bundle with Ampeg B2RE advertised here also.
7. BUMP Need to sell this and my 2 cabs also advertised here as I am heading overseas next month. If they don't sell then they will just rot away in my lockup....what a waste....make me an offer...£250???? I will get some photos together but it is mint....
8. I have an Ampeg B2-RE amp head for sale. It was bought as an emergency spare when my SVT-3pro stopped working and had to go off for repair. Consequently this amp has only ever been used half a dozen times. Supplied in ABS flight case. Due to weight and possibility of damage I would prefer not to ship but if you are miles away and have a real hankering for this talk to me as I travel around the UK with the band and you never know I might be calling at a town near you!! I only ever hear good things about these amps from those who used to own them (and regret selling) so hope that £300 looks like an appealing price for this awesome bit of kit. 9. I must be unlucky...lots of failures over the years...guitar amps, power amps, lighting, desks everyone fixed or worked around somehow to get the show done.....a bad one in my early days was at a pub gig when the PA failed so we turned a 100w powered monitor to face the audience and used that as a PA!! A few bass specific failures, volume pot failing on a schaller pickup causing random dropouts whilst on a big stage with techs running around trying to track down what they thought was a dodgy cable, original SansAmp draining batteries faster than a wino with a bottle of diamond white and not noticing until just about to play....PANIC...as I shout at the singer to KEEP TALKING....whip the sansamp out of my loop and forget to adjust the gain....sounded like the Queen Mary was docking over the PA system....but my worst.... 2nd band on at a weekender and 2 songs in the bridge on my double bass collapsed, laid bass down and wedged it back in, lasted half a song, repeat, repeat, repeat, panic, sweat, swear, give up and grab an electric bass from the previous group (thx guys). Things like this are all a learning experience, I knew that what I should have done was loosen the strings before putting the bridge back in and then tighten into place but in the heat of battle I tried to save time....it was a mistake, one I hope I never make again. Live giging wouldn't be half the fun it is if everything always went smoothly (and don't even get onto talking about transport failures!!!)......would it?????
10. eBay last day bump......the AKG is a great system and here you get two units with rack mount ready to go. Great for you and your guitarist to get wireless in one go. I use it for double bass, one for the note and one for the click.....
11. bump .....just a day left on the 410HLF......also check out my other listings for 2 AKG wireless systems with rack mount kit included...wireless your guitar player and yourself in one go....(or slap and click for any double bassists)
12. When I last ordered some covers (a couple of months ago) I used... AmplifierCoversOnline.Com easy ordering, good communications and the covers turned up in a week (when they quote 2). Covers were fair price and of the quality I expected. I have no commercial association with this company, this is just my honest feedback.
13. SVT5 PRO head is now SOLD. Many thanks for all the interest and feedback. 410HLF cab still available at the moment Rgds AM

15.
I have one and I love it, I'd say around £500+ but I could be wrong.
Thats ok with me, I'm happy if someone gets a bargain I just didn't wanna be ripping anyone off. Cheers and a happy christmas to all :-)
16.
£400
Have I priced this wrong....silly expensive? silly cheap?? these are great amps with a much maligned reputation 'cos some went bad early on but this has been great to me but there don't seem to be any about to judge a fair price. I hoped this was an attractive price point to 1350 watts of Ampeg tone.....headroom is never an issue :-)
17. I am selling 2 AKG wireless units complete with rack mount. I used it on double bass (one for note, one for click) but would be ideal if you and your guitarist both wanted to go wireless. Channels ISM1 and ISM2 buy it now £180 or make a bid http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AKG-WIRELESS-GUITAR-...=item230cb6e350 Thx AM

19. I have spent a fortune over the years trying various string combos but curently this is my fav Weedwacker G D and then solo steels A E Solos are designed to be tuned up a tone (F# and so when you tune them to concert E A they are very soft, nice to slap and sustain really nicely when playing pizz.
