Hi guys,

Apologies for jumping into the forum and posting an ad without any meaningful posts but you could write what i know about playing the bass on the back of a postage stamp!

So, i/the band is looking for a bass guitarist in the Basingstoke area. We play from a few genres including rock/RnR/blues with a few poppy crowd pleasers thrown in. Songs include:-

Tom petty - last dance with mary jane

Elvis P - little sister/ baby what you want me to do

Beatles - ballad of john and yoko

CCR - Green river

Boxtops - the letter

Neil young - rocking in the free world

The list goes on but hopefully you get the idea.

We have drums, two guitars male and potentially female vox.

Our problem has been that guys who've come along have been either too good and could potentially walk into any band they wanted or they have not been good enough or just cant play along in a live situation. We are not gigging at the moment but fully intend to as soon as we can get a steady line up and a polished set list together.
In honesty we won't suit a musician who wants to be gigging next week but with some commitment and time i feel we can get a great setlist together and bring something other than hard rock/indie covers and a slightly different setlist to the norm but still please a crowd. Of course some of the classics will be thrown in.

Be great to hear from you and anyone that does come along for an audition will be warmly welcomed, age and looks not important although BV's would be handy but not essential.

Many thanks for reading

Darren
