Just thought I would put a thanks on here to Guitar Guitar. My wife ordered me a Fender Mustang PJ at around 11;00 on Sunday morning, and it was delivered around 12:30 on Monday 😀. by DPD who sent a text message to say it would be arriving in an hour. Great customer service. Sorry no picture as it's a birthday present and I'm not allowed it yet.

I enjoyed it would recommend it to any muso . Maybe a little short but definitely worth a read well done. 👍
Any plans for a sequel?

Macca used to say that Elvis could play bass. Not sure about the voice though !

I saw Cheap Trick last year in London. They were good if a little tired. I think they only did 3 or 4 gigs in 4 days. The White Falcon looked and sounded great.

I'm seeing Cheap Trick in a couple of months.
looking forward to it. -

I have used Airplay in the past as well clean studios but no backline. What I did like about them is the on line booking would use them again if I was rehearsing local. There is also a studio opening in Feltham although not sure if it is advertising they just sent me a FB message as I used to be in a band with the drummer for a short time.

I used to use Airplay and would again as it is local to me never had a problem with it and would use it again if I was playing with locals. At the moment the drummer lives in St Albans, the guitarist lives in Bethnal Green and I live near Staines so rehearsing in London is the only option and having to use studio equipment as we normally go straight from work. -
We use the equipment provided which is normally an Ampeg SVT and 8X10, Guitar amps are normally Marshall or Backstair half stacks and whatever the PA is. Our drummer doesn't have an acoustic kit at the moment so we hire cymbals etc hopefully she will get a kit before we start gigging!
-
We go for a equal split although that means paying extra for cymbals etc it only works out a couple of pounds extra. For our next rehearsal I might not be able to take a bass so we will have to hire one and I assume it will still be an equal split.

I practice at home on my iPad using Amplitude and headphones portable and quiet.

We use Storm rehearsals on the Holloway Road good equipment clean as well, before that we used Enterprise!

Liked it
I have a Squier Jag short scale and also the Fender Modern Player short scale Jazz -
On Danny Baker show at 10 AM today.
-
It's strange it has been discontinued as it only seemed to be out a few weeks. Glad I got mine now.
-
I'm not sure they only seemed to be around for a little while. I got mine from GAK but they do not have any on their site and they are not on the Fender site either. Maybe ring GAK or Andertons as I think they had some. I definitely prefer the Fender if that helps
-
Hi
I've got both, the jag is quite a bit lighter and the sound sounds good having the "p" pick up on full but the "j" pick up isn't that hot to be honest. The Jazz I really like although it is a bit heavier quite a good thumping sound. I have the "hideous" white one -
I think the problem is the position of the limiter it would be better placed on the other side of the pub.
I saw one of the barmaid's, Dad's band play and it went off all night not good. Next time you play there I'll say hello. -
Happy Jack, did you use the electronic kit in The Ash Tree? I have seen a couple of bands in there and the limiter kicks in way to quickly.
