1. Thanks guys!!!

My mate did his in 2 days and got a 2:1! Unfortunatly im not very good at essays, so i can't go chancing it! I've also got 9000 words of other essays too, its killing me! My own fault though for leaving it so late

  2. Hey guys!

My name is Griff Griffiths and I study at BIMM in Brighton. In fact, this is my last term and I need to start my dissertation which needs to be in in 2 weeks! Which pretty much means I'm screwed unless i can gather a load of information. I'm doing my dissertation on private music teaching and marketing. Including the effects of location on pricing and marketing strategies. It should be really interested to see what results i get.

I decided to introduce myself because I wanted you guys to know I'm not a marketing guy or someone who works for a big company fishing for information. I'm just a student!

Would you be able to do a fellow bass player a favor and fill in my survey? It'll only take 1 minute and it will save my balls!

There is a question on how much you charge for a lesson, but if you don't want to say you can just click the N/A option.

Any questions, please ask me. I'll link you to my facebook if your still unsure if im genuine or not!

  3. Hi guys!

Im a student in my second year of my degree and i have to do a research project :/ So i have decided to do research in to being a Pit musician (theatres, cruises etc.). Unfortunatly this meens i have to write a 3500 word essay on my findings by this Thursday! So im bricking it to say the least!

So im here begging you to help out a fellow bass player! It will take you less than 2 minutes to fill in and its completly anonymous.

    It might also be fun!

    Here it is: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9BP27FL

Before anyone says anything: i am NOT an advertising or marketing person working for anyone. I am a broke student who simply has to right an essay by Thursday! All the information you give will only be used by me for my project. And its anonymous, so i won't even know who you are.

    Thank you for you time!

    Griff

  4.
Hey all!

I've seen this done a few times, so am sure this is feasible, but has anybody on Basschat had any experience fitting Sadowsky knobs to their Lakland Skyline?

Or more pertinently, where to get hold of the buggers in Britain :) ? On Talkbass I am directed to a place called Kilo International - if anybody is their distributor in Britain then this could be an easy process.
i know this is a bit of an old post, but ive just ordered a set from the sadowsky web site for my lakland.

  5. This is a fantastic speaker cabinet, anyone whose played one will back me up on that! :) the reasons why I'm selling it are below. But first, a bit about this cabinet-

This is taken straight from the Aguilar web site-

Four 10" cast frame woofers, 56 oz. magnet

Phenolic tweeter with integral phase plug

Custom crossover with variable tweeter control

One Neutrik Speakon and two 1/4" inputs

    Includes casters

    Power Handling: 700 watts RMS

    Impedance: 8 ohms

    Frequency Response: 40 Hz - 16 kHz

    Sensitivity: 101 dB 1W 1M

    Max SPL: 130 dB

    13 ply Baltic Birch

    Dimensions: 24 1/4" H, 24 1/2" W, 17 1/2" D

I have had this cab for over a year and a half. There is a bit of cosmetic wear (see pictures) on the back and bottom of the cab, this is due to transporting it back and forth to gigs. Apart from that the cabinet is in fantastic condition and works perfectly! The cab also comes with a Silverstone cover which is extremely tough, the cover doesn't fit perfectly around the handles, as you can see by the photos, but it sure does protect the cab from any rain or hard knocks!

So why am i selling it? i am now officially a student and need something that's smaller, lighter and most importantly.........can fit on a bus! I really do love this cab and i wouldn't be selling it if i could afford to keep it!

Due to being a very poor student, i have no car or means of transport so unfortunately i cant travel to meet potential buyers.

I am selling this for £550, i would consider swapping for a smaller, lighter, more portable cab. Feel free to ask any questions!
