1. I've now listed this item on ebay. Please see http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=130478659161 for the auction in case you're still interested.
2. This Ibanez SR300 in Roadster Orange Metallic was originally sold to me by karlbbb through this forum. See http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=94627&hl=sr300 for the original thread amd pics. Karl had only used the bass for 4 weeks and I myself have only had chance to get about the same usage out of it for practicing. Unfortunately due to my girlfriend being made redundant, I'm looking at selling my bass. As before, the bass is in excellent condition, no scratches or marks and although it's 9 months old in total has unfortunately had only about 8 weeks total usage (between Karl and myself). Unfortunately I don't own a car, so pickup would be from Failsworth Manchester or I'm sure we could look at posting it via Royal Mail (usually about £15.50 for 48 hour delivery). Here's the spec:- Neck Material: 5pc Maple/ Rosewood Neck Type: SR4 Body: Agathis body Frets: Medium frets Fingerboard: Rosewood Inlay: Pearl dot inlay Bridge: B100 bridge NeckPU: EXF-4-F BridgePU: EXF-4-R EQ: STYLE SWEEPER (SR) HW Color: Chrome Black Finishes: Roadster Orange Metallic Scale/Length: 864mm/34" I'm selling the bass along with a 15w practice amp, gig bag and cable for the tidy sum of £170. Tbh these go for £170 on ebay usually without those extra bits of kit. This way you've got everything you need from the off. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I'll try and help Apologies for the average quality in the photos. Idon't have a very steady hand, and my camera has been messing some of the colours up (you can see this especially in the photo of the amp and the dirt inside my lens making my carpet look unclean lol). Edit: I've tried to play about with the amp photo a bit and have redone the one of the gig bag. This sale is of course open to offers/bids etc
3. Met Karl on Saturday after buying the Ibanez SR300 from him. Nice guy, very friendly and easy going A+
4. Hi. I'm definitely interested, but do you mind if I ask a couple of cheeky questions? Are you selling to upgrade? Don't want to leave you without a bass! Are you still able to travel in the North West? The problem is that I don't drive and live in Manchester. I don't know if it's easy for you to go to? Will it be sold stringed up or will I need to buy some? £140 is a bargain though admittedly
5. DOes this one have a thin neck? Just starting out but looking for something not too thick so my gf can learn as well (she has small hands lol)
6. Has anyone been into Chase in Manchester, or can anyone recommend any decent little local shops around the city? I went into Chase today, and the majority of their basses are either by Shine or Guvnor (some are unbranded but don't look cheap so maybe the logo was on the reverse). Have never picked up a real bass so any advice on friendly shops would be very welcomed

Hi guys. Cheers for the welcome and tips (yeah, hitting plastic buttons can only be so fun ). Tbh Dawsons always seem to've been a bit on the dear side. Luckily there are a few decent shops in Manchester. Preferably £230 for a guitar and amp for now is really my limit unfortunately, so will definitely keep on the lookout for second hand or local shops as you said

Allo

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. Been thinking about playing bass for a couple of years now. Guitar Hero was to blame, but I just love the sound of it and think it's a cool instrument to pick up Don't have any equipment yet, but seem a couple of starter packs (probably not ideal). Dawsons sell 2, one is the Epiphone EB-O and I think the other is by Squier/Fender if that rings any bells. I love any kind of music really, but my least favourite is probably blues.
