1. I used this cab with a little mark II and it sounded great. hard to describe.. but in my opinion the ampeg sounds deeper and has got more bottom end. the mark bass cab is slightly more transparent.. and a bit lighter.
2. thanks for the bump whynot!! yes, it was perfect for hot stuff:-)
3. I changed the speakers because i had problems with one of the neodymium drivers. there was some weird low volume distortion going on and no one could tell me why. i heard good things about the eminence drivers and they really sound great. i kind of prefer them to the neodymium one's. No hiss, sounds kristal clear. Th cab is around 7 years old and has a few scratches, but all the handles, plug sockets and the trolley is in perfect working order. Yes, i had it on ebay a few months ago, but then the winning bidder turned out to be from greece (although i specified uk bidders only) and i wasn't prepared to ship it there. the cab is currently in kilburn (north london) and you are welcome to come and try it out. thanks!

7. I'm selling my Ampeg Portabass PB210H bass speaker cabinet. I have replaced the original speakers with a pair of Eminence Beta-10's, which made it sound even punchier and louder! The new speakers are only a few months old and as good as new. It's a really great sounding cab for live and studio and it's very easy to move around. I'm only selling it because i have too many bass cabs and need to free up some floor space in my flat. The original list price for this was $899.-, which was a bit overpriced to be honest, but it's Ampeg i guess.. £ 250.- Shipped to UK address only for £30.- or can be picked up from Kilburn, North London. Any questions, feel free to message me. Manufacturer's Description for Ampeg PB210H Porta Bass Cabinet (400 Watts, 2x10 in.) The PortaBass enclosures delivers incredible power and volume. 8. Thanks for the link. I used mostly fender jazz basses. The album was recorded in many different studios, but all mixed in pro tools through a toft 32 channel console.
9. Awesome! Exactly my cup of tea! Reminds me of Freddie Hubbard in places... great effort guys! Have you got a website where i can find out about gigs? Here's a spotify link to my album which i did earlier this year. As old-fashioned as it sounds, i would have to describe the style as 'jazz-funk':-) Vinzenz Benjamin – Solid State Feedback please!
10. I recently got a Glockenklang 3 band onboard preamp. It has got 3 'normal' and 1 stacked know, but ships without the knobs. I tried the John East knobs, which are too big. Did some research and apparently the Warwick one's work. Unfortunately the only 2 places where i could find one's that would fit are on thomann (germany) and bestbass gear (usa). Seems a bit silly paying that much for postage for 4 knobs. Anyone knows where i can get hold of 3 normal and 1 stacked Warwick control knobs here in the UK? Thanks!
