1. I’m trying to reduce the amount of space things are taking up, so really, the cabinet is the issue. The cab will be easier to sell with the head, so not really… unless somebody else is only after the cab! Sorry! (Great cabinet though….)
2. Haha, close. More “the middle of nowhere” but close to Banchory! 😂 I am happy to meet elsewhere though!
3. The 410 came from a guy in (I’m almost certain) Hemel Hempstead. He had two, and a few interesting basses, none of which I can remember. I took the 410 in the better cosmetic condition. Both worked perfectly. I drove to his house to collect it, probably around 2009 or so. Cheers!!
4. Thanks mate! It’s brilliant; if I’m totally honest, I wish I had it earlier before I left various bands and moved 100s of miles away from them in 2010! It really has barely been used since. I don’t really want to part with it, but really need to for practicality, and will be downsizing!
5. Another price drop, and still open for offers! It was hard enough deciding I need to see this; it’s even harder seeing it’s not been snapped up yet! 🫠😥
6. Price drop! I’m also open to sensible offers. (And as I said in the original post, I’m still after a great condition Ampeg Micro VR stack if anybody is wanting to up-size)!
7. I’ll be honest, it’s why I’ve kept it so long. I love it, and I love the sound. But I just don’t need it now. Prior to this, I had a SansAmp RBI which really defined the tone I used, but got this as it was infinitely more practical than lugging around an amp plus a rackmounted preamp. Now, having not been in a band for years, and not having the time to consider being in, I just want something smaller.
8. EDIT 12/04/24 - NOW £480 ONO Included in this sale: Tech 21 Landmark 300 amplifier, foot switch, and power cable Tech 21 B410 speaker cabinet Gator 4U shallow rackmount case This head is a monster. Essentially, a two channel bass amplifier consisting of two SansAmp preamps (one clean like the RPM, and one driven like the RBI), and the ability to blend the two channels together with the footswitch (or use them independently). The XLR out works as a SansAmp DI box to go straight through a desk. Condition is great. It’s lived its whole life in a rack, and barely been gigged. Full description -https://www.tech21nyc.com/archive/landmark300/ Examples of others for sale - https://reverb.com/uk/item/70129308-tech-21-landmark-300-300w-bass-amplifier-rackmount-head-with-ar3-footswitch Example of the tones (not my video) - https://youtu.be/7aFtWXYoeVk?si=tz9IYbWGpWOGzE5U The cabinet is great, and capable of outputting whatever tone you’ve shaped. Exceptional for the mid-range frequencies, but capable of sounding great for higher and low frequencies. I have only ever used this cab with four string basses. Condition is good. Speaker cones in good order and working without issue. Electronics all good. Cosmetically, there a few scuffs on the back, and some edges, but nothing too significant (as photographed). Full description - https://www.tech21nyc.com/reviews/images/pdf_reviews/B410_bassplayer.pdf These cabinets appear to be rare in the UK (I have only ever seen one other in person). They RRP’d at $695, but I’ve not seen any come up for sale in the UK for a few years. The gator case is a 4U shallow rackmount case. Just like this one - https://www.bax-shop.co.uk/double-door-flight-cases/gator-cases-gr-4s-shallow-rack-case-4u (which is selling for £120+ new). It’s in great condition; I have only ever used the lowest 2U for this head. ALL ITEMS ARE IN FULL WORKING ORDER. They are all original, with no replacement parts. All items were purchased in 2010. I purchased the cab second hand. This rig has been gigged once or twice in 2010/2011. I have not played in bands since then; as such, all this equipment has been largely unused, or used for quiet practicing in my house. I’m downsizing my gear, hence the sale. It’s begrudging, because I love the sound of this, but it’s taking up too much space for me to justify keeping. PRICE £650 ONO. TRADES I have enough bass guitars, but would be interested if you were looking to trade an Ampeg Micro VR stack in great condition (plus a little extra £). DELIVERY/COLLECTION If you want to arrange for delivery, no problem. I live in Aberdeenshire, about 30 minutes west of Aberdeen. Happy to meet at mid-points for petrol money, or for collection at my house. I also have family in south Lincholnshire, northeast England, and Nuneaton. I could probably arrange a detour between these areas if it was useful. QUESTIONS? No problem. Just PMme! It’s been 13 years or so since I’ve posted here! If you want me to prove I am legit, happy to share my eBay feedback, video call, etc etc.
9. Exactly what i wanted to know, thanks! The mute function doesn't bother me too much just now as my head (Landmark 300) has a mute button on it's footswitch which mutes the output but keeps the tuner out live.
10. Don't think i want to stetch to the Peterson one, i've been looking about for a second hand DTR 1000 or 2000 but to no avail. Some right bargains pop up on here though, so i'll keep my eye out.

12. Right, i've had a TU2 since forever, and it's great but i have space in my rack and i'm considering a rackmountable tuner. Korg are the ones I always see about, so i presume they're the best. I've seen a few Behringers too but, well, I'd rather not! What i basically want to know is, are these Korg tuners more accurate than the TU2 or is there little to no difference? I'm not overly fussed about any fancy modes, just accuracy. Also, i've seen Korg do the DTR1000 and 2000, but is the only advantage of the 2000 the few extra features it has, surely it can't be any more accurate? Sorry if i sound naive. Also, what's the going rate/good price for second hand ones? Thanks!
13. How do those rackmount korgs compare to boss TU 2s? I love mine, but flashing things don't half look cool! Also, with your sansamp issue, your amp might have an input that says "poweramp in". If so, try plugging a sansamp through there as well as trying through the input. You might find you prefer the sound that way as it will bypass the EQ on your head.
14. Cheers for the vouching guys! Does this make anybody more interested? Feel free to PM me if you want to negotiate anything!
15. If you're still looking into getting a p/j, i whole heartedly recommend the Tony Franklin. I have the fretted one (<<<<avatar!) and i love it, the sound is awesome and it plays so nicely. The only negative thing i found with mine, is that when you're spending around £1300 on a bass you'd expect Fender to not file the nut too wide for the string gauge they put on. I know it's an easy fix (take it to somebody who knows what they're doing and they'll replace the nut or use some sort of industrial super glue to make the nut less wide), i felt like i shouldn't have had to do that. That aside though, they are amazing, and absolutely beautiful, in both finishes.
16. Just seen one of these went on eBay in May for £155, so maybe i've over valued a little. I'm suprised that these for so cheap! So yeah, i definitely wouldn't accept any less than £155, but a little more would be nice seeing as it's just had an £89 service!
17. Hi, i've never posted here before so i expect scepticism so before i begin: Here is my eBay feedback: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/mr.scowl Here is my profile on another forum i use too much: http://www.punktastic.com/forums/memberlis...profile&u=8 I want to sell my Peavey Firebass. I will upload pictures if anybody is interested, but here is one i took not long after i first got it (I'm selling the head only). Notice that it says Peavey in the cooler logo than most of the ones you see kicking about; not that that affects the value, but it does add to the charm. You can see the manual here: http://www.retrevo.com/support/Peavey-Fire...23110ci974/t/2/ Although i do have the paper copy one too which i'd include, and you can see some reviews here: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...rebass+700/10/1 I've had this amp for around 6 years i think and it's a workhorse. They're known for not breaking which is nice, and they are reliable. About a year ago though, i had a power surge and as i foolishly wasn't using a surge protector a couple of diodes in it blew. I didn't need the amp again until recently, so a couple of weeks ago i spent £89 getting these diodes replaced and it serviced and can now confirm it is as good, if not better, than new! All the work was carried out by the incredible HotRox in Nottingham (http://www.hotroxuk.com/). I'm sure google will tell you more about the features than I can, but off the top of my head it has the standard bass/mid/treble, but it also has a mid shift for a bit of help with the mids if you desire and a contour dial which gives the amp it's charm. It has an effects loop, a power amp out and a preamp in, a tuner out, x over outs, two speaker cabinet outputs, an XLR DI with control and a whole host of other things. I think it's 700 watt through 2 Ohms and 480 through 4 Ohms (and a little less again through 8 Ohms, 300 possibly). The external condition is pretty much perfect. I look after all my things really well so there are no scuffs on it anywhere except on one of the metal corner parts i think there is a few white marks, i'll provide photos if need be. I presume this was caused by rubbing it past a white wall. Thinking about it, that could probably be cleaned off anyway. I don't think i have ever pushed this amp over half volume other than to see how loud it goes for a couple of seconds, and it's only ever had passive Fender basses running through it (and a sansamp RBI). If anybody is interested, feel free to ask whatever you like. I'm asking for around £220 but sensible offers would be considered. I would really rather cash, but if anybody wants to offer less cash + something i might want, then feel free to give it a go. I live near Peterborough, and would drive to meet somewhere (at your expense, but i have an economic car!), or you could come and pick it up. It's on the A1 so easy for a lot of people. If not, i would be more than happy for you to use a courier if you want to arrange it. Interparcel is a good website for getting a bargain if you fancied taking that route! I'd accept cash or paypal. Thanks!
