Hi there I'm currently doing an essay for Uni on Esperanza Spalding and I am using the song "The Peacocks" as an example however I am having some difficulty working out the time signature and general feel of the song. The closest I have gotten to is 9/8 1st bar and 4/4 (or as the drums would imply 8/8) in the second bar and constantly switching between the two. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong so it would be great to hear if anyone else had any other suggestions? Hey I've just done my own interpretation of Tower of Powers Credit it would be great if some people could check it out and let me know what they think and just give some constructive criticism and feedback. There are a couple of mistakes here and there but let me know what you think. You may want to stick some headphones or earphones in when watching as i mixed my bass in a little bit too quiet, this was recorded through d.i.ing a little mark 3 head into a line 6 interface.
