1. I once said I'd never sell this, but unfortunately, Mr HMRC comes first! :)

Beautiful example and great sounding Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string made in 1995 (ish).

I bought his privately nine years ago and it's been a beaut to own and play. The Rosewood fingerboard is a lighter shade than most I've seen. It has a few playing marks on the board, but nothing that affects it's playability.

2 piece alder body and some lovely birdseye on the neck. I loaded this with a Bartolini pup a few years back and it just screams!!! I still have the original, but having moved house since the change over, I'm having trouble finding where it is. Successful buyers can leave me their address and as soon as I can find it, I'll post it forward.

The action is set quite high (how I prefer it) but easy to adjust.

Minimal nicks in this with only one real mark to list, a 10mm indent in the finish which I've tried to photograph. It's on the rear so doean't affect the aesthetics.

Comes with a Thomman 'Union Jack' HSC which has been signed by Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler of The Jam.

Collection only but would be willing to courier at buyers expense.

PM me if wanting to view.

    £650.00.... no offers.

    Back up for sale......

  2. Nothing you can do legally unfortunately...
The film producer owns the rights to the content of the film. It is his interpretation of your performance. The band (including you) become the 'subject matter'. You and the band were performing a show to the general public and the performance becomes their's so to speak. Even top-end acts cannot do a thing about it unless they own the recording rights to the film being broadcast.

However, 'morally', maybe a polite word with the author could work, as suggested previously.

  3. Given the short notice and lack of practise time you have, I'd say be honest with them. Ask them to run through the songs and just jump in when you have the basics. As someone alse said, concentrate on keeping tight with the kick, and enjoy it.
Treat it as trying to masturbate to porn with the laptop held between your knees. As long as you concentrate, keep good balance and don't go mental, you'll reach a satisfying conclusion. No need for tissues and moisturising cream though.......

    Good luck. :)

  4.
I don't have a fretless to get that honky sound so I use my Boss OC-2 & BF-3 and the sound was massive through my Terror Bass and Trace 4x12"
AFAICR it wasn't recorded or played live on a fretless.
Ovation Magnum, push the mids and a touch of chorus. Think honkey stingray tone with some 'colour'.

  5. Due to space, I'm going down the digtal tabletop route so all this this needs to go.

Mackie 24:8:2 8 Bus mixing console.
Useful in both studio and live environments and comes complete with meter bridge (which was an extra £300), soft cover and stand.
Really versatile with endless connection options and 8 bus grouping. Everthing works as it should.

Below is a picture taken in situ, and a stock google photo.

    £500.00.

Apple Mac G4 running Emagic Pro Logic.
All original discs and dongles included. 40gb HD. LOTS of other software including Emagic Soundiver included. Slim 19" Studio Monitor, keyboard and mouse included.
Come with a 'Glyph' 4GB hardrive for audio storage, CDR drive and all connecting leads.... really handy for zero latency recording. I do know that the leads for this are VERY expensive to purchase.
    £400.00

    Googled images....

MOTU (Mark of the Unicorn) 2408 mkII Audio interface
I have three of these units but only two cards.... however, you can run three units from one card. Selling on ebay second hand for about 120.00 on offer here for 90.00 each

    Alesis ADAT
8 track adat. Hardly used. 100.00.

    Lexicon Midi Reverb
I think there is an intermittent fault with this... offers invited.

    Digitech Midi Vocalist
I have two of these... £60.00 each

Assuming I can get £40 for the reverb unit that makes a grand total of £1370.

Willing to accept £1000.00 for the lot, or will consider a straight trade for a Roland VS2480CD, Korg D3200 or similar.

Pick-up only from Brandon in Suffolk. You're more than welcome to come round and have a fiddle!!

  6. With regard to monitors, can I throw another brand into the mix?
Get yourself a pair of Mackie HR824's mk.II
Great quality and second hand they go on the bay for around £500.
More information can be found here.

  7. My first gigging rig was a Westone Thunder 1-A (just bought the 'actual' bass back recently!!) into a Carlsbro Stingray 150 watt head and a no-name 4 x 12" cabinet.

After years of G.A.S. and loads of changes, I've settled on this setup:

Fender American Vintage '62 reissue Precision
Sanberg California PM4 Custom 'Dear Old Blighty'
EBMM Stingray 4 in Vintage Sunburst, loaded with a Bartolini (huge sound!!)

    Marbass TA503 head
    Alesis 3060 Compressor
    Korg DT1000 tuner
    Markbass 106HR cab.

  8.
Paddy's Day should be inclusive and altogether a laugh. I mean, hey, he got rid of the snakes didn't he?
Pretty sure I read somewhere that he was an English slave. :)

  9. Due to impending emigration I am leaving my band.

My last gig is next Friday 26th February at The Flintknappers in Brandon, Suffolk which should be great fun!!

Here's a little advert I created for it......

If you're not gigging, local or just passing and want a fun night (with a huge party afterwards!!!) then by all means turn up and we'll have a beer or twelve!!!

  10.
When you mentioned him and his look I thought I knew who you were talking about- checked out Illegal Eagles' site.
I used to see him play with a great blues rock band called Bad Reputation in the late 90's
Always thought what a great player he was- very, very solid and quite Pino-esque too.
Very worthy of a mention in this topic.
Bad Influence even? :)

  11. Haven't even used this since I bought it about a year ago. Just been sitting on a shelf until last week when I fired it up.
I used to gig the XT live version a while ago which sounded huge. This unit can do everything the XT Live was capable of and has much more flexibility connection wise. I tried to use it in my current set-up but I much prefer the Markbass sound.

Comes with a Line 6 box (the guitar version) but no manual or disc, although I'm sure you can get these from the Line 6 website.

I've also got a Line 6 Guitar Pod Pro (non XT version) which I might be persuaded to part with for offers around £160 posted

Stock pictures of both below but items are pristine condition with just a little rack rash.

  12.
This is the best opportunity to sell something. Advertise it here, NOW!
Nah..... mind you, I could be like one of those Egyptian shop owners and harrass anyone passing by.
"Where you from? ENGLAND?? LUBBLY JUBBLY!!! Come in..... I make you special price."

  13.
I already do - My partner says I look a twat, but then I used to enjoy tucking my jumper into my jeans......

    :)
Pictures.... or it doesn't happen.

    On second thoughts...............

  14.
See Admin/Moderators and Super Heros are almost the same thing
You've done it now, haven't you? They'll all be wearing their undercrackers over their jeans now!!!! :)

  15.
any one else feel like a mug for believing it. i know i did.
Thing is Sweeney, it was very believable. But ultimately, a bit like nicking a poppy tin. :)

  16. Best 'whodunnit' this year!!!
