very nice fireglo, good luck with the sale.

It's very nice indeed, Thanks! -
Rickenbacker 4003 Fireglow - 2004 Model.
Received in a trade with 'Blunderthumbs' earlier this year. Despite how much I love the looks and sound I can't get on with a Ric'.
Very good condition, apart from a small >1cm scratch on the lower back and a slight mark in the binding below the bridge, both of which were too small to photograph and don't show up in the main photos.
Included in sale:
Rickenbacker 4003
Original HSC - VGC
Assorted case candy (pictured)
Asking price is £1200 ovno + p&p. Or collection, which is preferred given it's value.
Trade wise:
Fender USA Std Jazz Bass only + Cash my way.
Thanks for looking!

TBH I think it looks better without now I look at it.
And I'll PM details of the decal later, the guy doesn't like it being publicised.

Okay, cheers! -
Where did you get the headstock decal? If you don't mind me asking.
-
That's a beauty. Good choice
-
Okay mate, no worries
-
You got a price without the P-retro?
-
Great price!

Im using Markbass 410 + 210 with an Ampeg 7pro. Never been happier with the sound, they're rated the same (both 8 ohms) but vary in power.
-
Nice little EQ/boost pedal there too. Could be very useful

We've just set up our gear early for the gig tonight and found this...
it made us all chuckle.

Thanks for the responses, buying an acoustic isn't ideal as it's all added expense. But if the gig required it, it's something I'd maybe look into.
I could always play an electric and see how it goes... -
So my band *may* be heading down a different route in the near future as an acoustic trio.
The set up would be 2 x guitars and a bass.
Would it be best to go down the route of an acoustic bass, or stick to one of my electrics?
Any + or -'s to the sound etc?
Any acoustic bass recommendations? The only one I've looked at is Fender Kingsman, so far. (The budget would be £3-400 maximum. And I'm open to buying used)
Cheers -
That's a beauty. Good luck with the sale

Something my guitarist made which I found quite funny..

Until recently I was running the 7pro into a Ampeg 610 and it sounds great. Never had any volume issues etc and I play with a lunatic drummer.
Can't complain about lack of 'oomph' at all. -
Sold pending payment.

I have never tried the BDDI but there is plenty of comparison threads over on TalkBass, from what I gathered from reviews; the BDDI is a more hi-fi sound, where as the VTbass is more vintagey.
Obviously this is quite subjective though.. -
B to the U to the M to the P

GONE in under 6 minutes!

Got a pack of these for my birthday at the weekend, but they came as a 5 string set..
The other 4 are perfectly useable so the 5th string (the b ) is free too a good home.
It's a 130 gauge, by the way.
First to PM gets the string, free of charge!
SOLD: Markbass STD 102 HF - 400w - 8ohms - Dual Ported - w/cover - £350
in Amps and Cabs For Sale

Markbass STD 102 HF
400watts 8ohms
Comes with fitted cover in black with yellow trimmings (obviously )
Very good condition and sounds great with my Ampeg SVT7.
This model is double front ported, which I believe Markbass no longer make.
£350 firm. No trades thanks, I seem to have conquered gas, for now!
Im not looking to post this ideally due to the size/weight, but I am willing to meet somewhere of a reasonable distance from Peterlee, Durham if that is easier.
