That sorry f**k from U2. I can't bare to type his so called 'name'. Honestly , joking aside , I find the man a disgusting piss take of human kind. A horrible , horrible cnut. The day I hear of his demise will be a fine day indeed.
+1 dont like the guy either!

  2.
I think it depends what sort of slap tone you like, I find the Kubicki a bit 80's and too percussive for my taste. I like the Rays ability to have that killer bottom and treble all at the same time so you can get the groove going on the E and A whilst picking the notes out on the D and G (if you can hear it :) thankfully mine are fine ta). I know its a cop out but it does to some extent depend if your a Flea fan or a MK fan tone wise even if these are the only types of basses either of them have used they lean towards the seperate tones im talking about IMO.

Thankfully Herman has made a good choice and it certainly wont be a terrible slap sound even if there not everyones favourite bass and that natural looks great too,2 band EQ FTW as well.
I cant agree with you Pete. The bottom end on the factor is totally killer. When i put my xfactor up against the stingray, the ray is totally blown away. so much so that my mate got rid of his coz of the huge difference in tone between them.

  3. Mine was a mid 90's mia fender jazz fretless. totally awful bass. Dead wood body, fingerboard had the feel of long dead elephant hide, pickups sounded like farts underwater whilst wearing a full face crash helmet. The pups wernt even alligned to the stings. Total disaster of a bass. And people pay 1000's for this crap! Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey. :)

  4.
Im guessing this is the famous gold sparkle 64...hes had it on the bay for about 2 years with no joy! He must of spent nearly that in listing fees by now :)
Sounds like the very same one. Can the seller not take a hint?

  5. Ive owned over 30 basses(most quite expensive) in the past and have always come back to just 1. Im totally gassed out now, and i'm happy with my single bass. Just one mistress for me.

  6. I understand that to play Jazz well takes a lot of musicianship but everytime I hear an album or see a jazz gig it just leaves me cold. Ive been playing bass for 22 years, all genres all styles but I just dont get it! Im not askin for negatives about jazz, I just need help to hear what everyone else hears from jazz. As Ive said no "Jazz Haters" comments just help me understand. Thanks. J :)
