1. Hi Richard I forgot to say I love your choice of picture!!! If only eh? Daryl
Hi Daryl. I'm interested. Have a look under ' general bass discussions - How Times Change ' At least I'm the right age. I'll phone you. Richard
2. Can you help us - we are a Rock and Roll band with a little light rock and soul thrown in. we enjoy gigging and practise and we are mainly looking for someone with the right sense of humour whi fits in. Your skills on the bass will obviously be welcome too. If you fancy a jam to see what you think please email or call me - [email protected] - 07865 062028 Thanks Daryl Ridgley
I'm a (mature!) competent bassist used to playing rock/pop covers. I've played up to 60 gigs a year in recent years, and I'm ideally looking for a localish covers band (and/or depping work) for the next 9 months or so. Availability is good - a rehearsal and a gig or two a week is fine. I'm studying at Oxford University and I have my bass gear with me, so it would be good to chill out playing some gigs! I learn fast, can play by ear, so look me up if you have an opening. 07831 545838.
3. Hi Stewart We are a band based in Thame, Oxfordshire. We play mainly for enjoyment whether gigging or rehearsing we always have a good time. We range in age from 40 to 60 and play mainly 50's & 60's Rock and Roll with a little light rock, blues and soul thrown in for good measure. we are looking to gig once a month at least and we have just lost our bass player to heavy metal! Can you help? You would certainly have fun - please email me on [email protected] if you are up for a jam with us to see how it goes Thanks Daryl Ridgley 07865 062028
Time get back in a band.....I have been playing bass on and off for 30 years. I play 4 and 6 string fretted, 4 string fretless and electric upright bass. Influences are Pastorius, Mingus, Jack Bruce, Charlie Haden and many more. Good gear...good transport...very reliable. Looking for interesting bands or projects. No ego. Lot's of gigging experience..some studio recording too. Can also play some sax and keys. Know of anyone looking for a bassist? Cheers Stewart
4. Bass player required for 60's/light Rock covers band in Thame, Oxfordshire. Commitment and a sense of humour more important than ability although being able to play more than root notes would be an advantage. We are open to your influences - Age range 44-62. We practise once a week and gig minimum once a month. Miracles not expected just someone who fits in. Call me on 07865 062028 - tks Daryl
