1.
if you are looking for cheap cheap, some of the line 6 interfaces are good, and are usually bundled with pod farm
Under £100 is what I'm aiming for, but realise this will limit me. I'm quite happy to play/record with a dry signal through Reaper and pick up some modeling software later. I've got a small amount of knowledge with this but not sure how it all fits together if you know what I mean lol
2. Hi all! I'm looking for something to connect to my pc. I need something to allow me to connect headphones to my pc and play silently along to music; and to record would be nice. I'm on a budget and don't expect amazing sound quality, the main aim is for the above. I've read about the Zoom b2, but have also looked at a Behringer and the Line 6 bass pod, so second hand is an option. Something that contains a modeler would be helpful, or some advice on modeling software that will work with the interface would be appreciated. My pc runs Windows 7, has 4gb of ram, and it's not the newest, so nothing too demanding. I'm not the best with pcs and software so something simple is prefereable, but I can always learn! Any help/advice is much appreciated! :-)
3. Thanks guys! The replacent speaker money will now go towards a Fender P-bass
4. Well, here's where I look like a n00b lol. After further inspection, it turns out that the speaker was just loose But then, to my dismay, I sipped with the screwdriver and pierced the surround! While it sounds fine, I fear this will deteriorate and a new speaker will be required. Is a quick fix I can do in the mean time? The current speaker in it is a H/H Invader and I'm having trouble finding specs for it. Meanwhile, the cab dimensions are as follows: 630w x 375d x 695h (mm). The Eminence Legend CB15 should be fine, but not sure about the Celestion. I could do without the expense of a new speaker, but I feel it may be iminent!
5. The speaker in my Laney cab has given up the ghost and I'm looking for a replacement that isn't going to break the bank. A friend of mine suggested Blue Aran and I was looking at the Eminence Legend CA154 and the Celestion BN15-300S. An engineer friend of mine directed me towards the Celestion based on it's specs, but I thought I'd see if anyone on here has any experience/further advice on the mentioned speakers. Picture of said cab is attached if it helps any. All help/advice/opinions are welcome :-)
6. All above are very sound advice! We do alot of gigs away and don't hace a van to carry all our cabs and kit, so we often just take heads and breakables (snare, cymbals, kick pedal), so always check what gear and cabs are being used so you know if they're compatible with your gear. You might not get your tone that you love, but it can save alot of time and hassle, especially if it's only a small venue Introduce yourselves near the start of your set. Chances are you've got their attention by now and they'll hopefully remember your name! Ultimately, relax and enjoy. Other people aren't going to if you're not, and there's no point if you're not!

Hi!

Hi all! I'm relatively new to bass, playing for around a year, 9 months of which has been with a band. We're a metal band and have been gigging since February this year. I currently play an LTD D-5 through a borrowed Peavey TKO 115 S and my own Laney DB300H with cab. I'm looking for a decent 4 string as I only own an Encore p-bass besides the LTD, and feel like I'm wasting the strings on the LTD, but it's beautiful to look at and play so I refuse to sell it As the Peavey is only borrowed (and my mate refuses to sell it no matter how much I bug him) I'm looking at something to take it's place, as the Laney is a nightmare to lug around to gigs Well that'#s my intro done, and I hope to speak woth you soon
