1. I have recently purchased one of these from this forum, and I have to say it is absolutly amazing. I have used it twice and is the best cab I have ever used.

But there is one problem although I measured the gap for the door under my staircase the cab does not fit through. This would not normally matter as I have a spare room upstairs but due to a recent partial knee replacement I cannot manage carrying it up and down the stairs.

So I am looking to trade or swap for something simillar just a bit smaller about 16.5" or less Depth or Width would do it.

If 2x12 need 4ohm cab but will consider two 2x12 8ohm cabs.

Below is the info on the cab..the cab is in excellent condition and has a fitted cover.

Really sorry to see it go but I have nowhere to put it.

    Thanks

  2. Hi

My name is John and I have been playing Bass for a long time started when I was 16 playing Pubs & Clubs around Liverpool.

I have been living in Oxfordshire for the past 21 years playing with different bands, currently with Oxfordshire Band "Loaded" who I have been with for the last 3 years.

I have just changed my Bass Rig :

Genz Benz 900STM & EBS NEO 2x12 thanks to fellow Basschatters.

    I have Fender Basses:

    1978 Jazz
    2010 P Bass

Thanks to another forum user who very kindly let me try out his Barefaced 212T Cab..let me loose on his Dingwall "fatal my Mrs will kill me" when she hears I am now thinking of "you know the rest".

    Anyway hello everyone :)

  3. Hi the Cab has gone to a new home, just the Ashdown ABM Evo ll 500 to go.

I have owned it from new and is in immaculate condition I am looking for[s] £325[/s] £300 .

I will also consider a Trade for a Combo suitable for rehearsals and small gigs as a backup must be fairly lightweight though or I am also looking for an effects unit such as Boss ME-50b or Line 6 Pro live type thing,

    Below is the Blurb:

    Ashdown ABM

The ABM 500 EVO II is a 575 watts RMS bass amp head designed to satisfy both bass-purists and tech-heads alike. Three straightforward rotary tone controls provide 20dB of cut and boost at 60Hz, 660Hz and 5kHz, and are supplemented by two pairs of additional sliders giving 15dB cut and boost at 180Hz, 340Hz, 1.3kHz and 2.6kHz. The EQ can be switched in/out, and flat/shaped by footswitch, enabling players to go from a flat fretless sound to a boosted sound via a favorite EQ setting.

A single input is switchable for passive and active instruments with a blend of solid state and dual triode tube preamps stages which can be preset and selected by footswitch, providing access to a massive range of clean, warm and overdriven tones. Also footswitchable is the mighty Ashdown sub-harmonic generator which precisely tracks the main signal and reproduces it an octave lower. A sub-harmonic level control enables the player to add just the right amount of low-end reinforcement - everything from a subtle, thickening of the sound to unbridled, bone crushing tone.

The ABM 500 EVO II features a front-panel mounted balanced DI out with pre or post EQ switching, a sub-bass output, a tuner output, an FX loop and a line input for the connection of an external sampler or sound source. Output muting cuts the signal from the DI output but leaves the tuner output 'live', allowing the player to tune up in silence. A new upgraded power section has faster transient attack, more headroom and even less noise.

    Thanks for looking
    John

  4. Hi

I am looking to sell my Warwick Blue Cab 60. It is in very good condition perfect working order, however the Handle is starting to show signs of wear but still safe to use.

Below I have added the Jargon:

The Blue Cab 60 is a serious bass combo that comes loaded with great features for the practicing and performing bassist. This is a bass amplifier compact enough to easily move around and yet powerful enough for small gigs. The Blue Cab 60 also features two RCA auxiliary inputs that are located on the front panel for you to plug in your MP3 player, CD player, or drum machine. There is also an auxiliary input that makes it very easy to balance levels. A powerful 12" speaker loaded in a ported cabinet with tilt-back for extended projection performs perfectly to voice your groove.

Width: 0.40m

Height: 0.53m

Depth: 0.33m

Weight: 41.89 lbs.

60 watts power

Fan-cooled

12" Speaker

Separate inputs for active and passive basses

Controls for bass, middle, treble and volume

2 RCA Aux Inputs with level control

Line Out

Headphone Jack

FX Loop

Bass Reflex Housing

Collapsible rear foot for tilt-back operation
Looking for £70 I think this is a fair price.

    Thanks for looking.

  5. Complete change of mind I am now thinking of going down the Two cab route as Saturday my 2x12 EBS Neo was far to powerful for the gig.....yes I know I could turn down but I may as well take a smaller lighter cab for smaller venues.

So Two times 1x12 8ohm cabs are what I am now thinking.

So I am looking to trade rather than buy as I would need to sell before I could buy but I am open to offers:

"Ashdown ABM 500 Evo ll Bass Amp mint condition with cover I have owned this from new"

"Warwick WCA 400 watt 115 Pro Bass Cab (on castors) Excellent condition"

"EBS Neo 2x12 Bass Cab Excellent condition with cover"

"Warwick 60 watt Practice amp very good condition"

If you want photo's etc PM me with e-mail address.

    Cheers

  7. I have to be honest.. the best bass rig I ever used was the Hiwatt Custom 100 watt with a Fender 4x12 Reflex Bass cab it was awsome and have never come close since.. used the Sound City & the Marshall at the time, but hey we're all different..currently use Genz Benz STM9.5 with EBS Neo 212. Whatever floats your boat I am still looking for the perfect ??? Matbe I need a Barefaced Cab!
