1.
None of the gear in the 1st link is anything but 'entry-level'... I wouldn't bid the start price for it. And why would you want a 24 channel mixer for a duo!? The second option would be OK, though those speakers aren't going to be light (and do you really need subs?) Unfamiliar with Samson amps, but that's likely to be a handful too. The mixer's probably adequate (I've got an old 802 Behringer and it's still A-OK). I'd really recommend Mackie / dB Technology / RCF powered cabs and any small mixer but that's going to blow your budget by some way...
thanks for the advice. The reason i thought the complete system was worthwhile, was if you added up the individual pieces new, it would certainly come to more than £500. The second mix looks really good.. an i agree, the bass bins might be a bit OTT. but even getting x2 single passive speakers, like: http://www.dv247.com/pa-systems-and-live-s...15-mk-ii--68733 Brings the price close to £500 anyway, an that is without speaker stands, or wedge monitors... perhaps I am being a little ambitious to think I could spend £500? Should one be thinking more in the range of 600-750?
 2. hi all First off, im a guitarist (i know, im out of my field here anywho.. i was hoping one of you kind chaps could help me.. im after a PA.. Myself an singer will be playing local pubs about town, me playing guitar, an him singing. We will be using guitar backing tracks. I have spotted the following PA on ebay, an i was hoping someone could let me know if this is a fair price for the gear: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=140426758682 any help or usggestions would be super.. alternatively, i was thinking of the following set up 1) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:X:RTQ:GB:1123 2) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bargain-Behringer-XE...=item2eae4fd559 3) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brand-New-Samson-PG2...=item2c5554e1ae the above does work out to a fair bit over the £500 mark, but if it really is a lot better investment, I would certianly consider it. Any help would be super, apologies for asking for free advice, but quite a few ppl on here seem to really know their gear! Thanks Dave
