1.
Howdy! The Quake is a P-bass - always a good place to be, bass-wise! (You'll notice I'm a tad biased in this respect!)
Thanks! I wholeheartedly agree, and share your tiny amount of bias I far prefer the deep warm sound, seems to me to be what a bass is really about. IMHO the sound of this beats my friend's tinny Fender Jazz bass hands down through the same amp, but horses for courses I guess! He doesn't agree
2. Thanks for such a warm welcome folks! Pleased to meet you
3. Hi there, if this amp is still for sale you now have a buyer! Ideally I could pick it up today, or if not in the week after about 19:00. I'll try and send you a PM (am new to the forum!)
4. Hi everyone! Just a little post to introduce myself, I am Joe from London. I have recently started playing bass in what I guess must be some sort of mid life crisis! I never expect to be really good but I have always been a bit obsessed with bass in my music (all sorts of styles really, if it gets me going I'm up for it) and I have always enjoyed the feel of 'playing' the bass an awful lot so I thought it was about time to give it a proper go. At the moment I'm content just to muck about, but am beginning to try and track the notes down on the fretboard. I have been practicing a few tunes but would far rather play my own stuff, when I work out how to do that properly! I have a left handed Harrier Quake super cheapo bass, which I actually really like, an experienced bass playing friend has also remarked on the great quality for the price. Sorry PR over, I don't have anything to do with the company but just thought I'd add a +1 to the very little there is on these instruments on forums, in case anyone is interested in them. I've got nothing else to offer the forum yet being totally clueless basswise (but hopefully the time will come!) but have really joined as I'm on the look out for a cheap practice amp and the for sale section here looks like a right winner! At the moment I have been jamming with my housemate on guitar plugged into his external PC soundcard, and his speakers are definitely not huge fans of my remedial bass playing skills Anyway, I hope you're all good! Best wishes, Joe.
