1. Price - £450

Fender 1996 62 Reissue Made in Japan Left Handed 50th Anniversary Jazz Bass

Fitted with a J-Retro preamp, not sure if I have the original electronics.

Also fitted with a Gotoh bridge.

In overall good condition, a few bumps and scratches. Also, a small repair was made where the nut meets the headstock.

Not looking to post as I have no hard case for it, collection from brighton.

Have tried to price this fairly considering the upgrades, please say if I got this wrong.

    Tattered gig bag included!

  2. Peavey firebass 700 head £175

    Peavey tvx 4x10 cab £75

    Peavey BW 1X15 £75

Or everything for £300. All in used condition, recently serviced so working perfectly. Some hum is audible when the tweeter is turned up on the 4X10. Rig is fantastic, 2 ohm load with both cabs connected. collection from southampton, demos welcome.

I am very interested but dont want to make a mistake, Cheers.
thats a fair price for what looks like a loveley example (in my opinion of course!) will only gain in value, though its worth checking it out because a through neck bass with problems is harder to fix. here's a link to a helpful site http://www.matsumoku.org/models/ariaproii/bass/sb/sb.html

  4. yes i saw that tutorial, but after some forum trawling I'v discovered that what you really want to be using is heat transfer foli (apparently thats what the factories use). Makes sense really, as using adhesive plastic will cause horrible seams and may peal after a while. however it seems like holographic heat transfer foil is quite hard to find...

  5. anyone ever attempted/completed a holoflash finish? Im doing some research at the moment, what a minefield! One of the coolest finishes going in my opinion, though I fully appreciate it isnt for everyone..

  6. ok so the bass is now painted. its been a rollercoaster ride of succeses and failures but I'v learnt a lot and had fun doing it!

The color is blue pearl. Depending on the angle of the light it appears blue or green. quite cool!
